The Department of Industrial Promotion, or DIPROM, <\/span><\/strong>is moving forward with a plan to enhance the potential of entrepreneurs in 2023 through the initiative 'DIPROM Growth' <\/span><\/strong>, which aims to develop 28,600 SMEs, community enterprises, and individuals using four mechanisms: 'Grow, Grow Fast, Grow Far, Grow Sustainably' <\/span><\/strong>, with a target to create economic value of no less than 7.5 billion baht.

Mr. Bainoi Suwannachatri, Director-General of the Department of Industrial Promotion, or DIPROM, <\/strong><\/span>stated that the overall economic outlook for 2023 is expected to show positive growth, driven by a recovering tourism sector, which will benefit the tourism industry and related businesses. However, there are concerns regarding risks from global economic volatility, high energy prices, and persistent inflation affecting the supply chain, particularly impacting household consumption among small enterprises and low-income groups.

This year, <\/span>the Department of Industrial Promotion <\/strong><\/span>has set a strategy to drive over 13,000 SMEs and community enterprises through the 'DIPROM Growth' policy, focusing on enhancing competitiveness and elevating industrial businesses through four key mechanisms:

'Grow' (Start)<\/strong> is a mechanism that provides opportunities for individuals to start businesses and grow into new entrepreneurs in their communities, strengthening the grassroots economy through industrial agriculture and increasing the value of community products.

'Grow Fast' (Speed)<\/strong> is a mechanism that enables SMEs to grow rapidly by establishing standards, increasing productivity, and applying digital technology and creativity to achieve significant business growth.

'Grow Far' (Scale)<\/strong> is a mechanism that enhances efficiency and expands production capacity for stable business growth, focusing on the transition (Transformation) to target industries (New S-curve), particularly modern industries such as electric vehicles (EV) and robotics, to expand into international markets.

'Grow Sustainably' (Sustainable)<\/strong> is a mechanism aimed at supporting factors that enable business sustainability, facilitating access to various government measures and assistance, while emphasizing sustainable growth in line with the BCG Economy policy, which encompasses bio-economy, circular economy, and green economy to ensure true sustainability.

It is anticipated that this initiative will <\/span>generate overall economic value of no less than 7 billion baht <\/strong><\/span>and conduct special activities to elevate individuals to become future entrepreneurs, with a target of at least 15,600 individuals and an expected overall economic value creation of no less than 500 million baht.
