Government Housing Bank (GHB) participated in the “Debt Relief Fair: Solutions for Debt Issues, Sustainable New Beginnings, Event 1” held from November 4-6, 2022, at Impact Hall 5, Muang Thong Thani, to provide assistance to current customers facing liquidity problems due to the slowing economy. As a result, 22 measures (M22) have been implemented.

For retail customers classified as NPL or those undergoing debt restructuring who have borrowed from the bank for at least 1 year, they will be allowed to make lower payments along with a reduced special loan interest rate for a period of 2 years, divided as follows:

In the first 10 months, payments will be only 1,000 Baht per month with an interest rate of 0% per annum (all principal payments), which is the longest exemption from interest charges that the bank has ever offered.

For months 11-18, payments will be calculated at an interest rate of 1.99% per annum, and for months 19-21, at an interest rate of 3.90% per annum. For months 22-24, payments will be calculated at an interest rate of MRR-2.00% per annum.

If customers pay more than the bank specifies, the excess will be applied to any outstanding interest (if applicable). Interested individuals can register for debt restructuring at the website https://ln15.gsb.or.th/WEB-DEBT/.

As of October 31, 2022, 4,466 customers have registered for debt restructuring, with a remaining principal amount of 6,421 million Baht.
