Frasers Property Thailand Closes Deal with Watson Thailand to Develop Third Distribution Center in Ayutthaya
Frasers Property Industrial (Thailand), part of Frasers Property Thailand or FPT, reaffirms its position as the leading modern industrial real estate provider in ASEAN by closing a deal with “Watson Thailand” to establish another Built-to-Suit distribution center in Wang Noi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. This facility will provide over 30,000 square meters of service area for Watson, supporting the expansion of retail business and the growth of e-commerce. This emphasizes Ayutthaya's strategic position for distributing goods to the northern and northeastern regions. The company also revealed that it has over 300 rai of land bank in Ayutthaya ready for development to meet the needs of all sectors, confidently continuing its “Ready - Different” strategy.

Mr. Sopon Racharaksa, CEO of Frasers Property Industrial (Thailand) Co., Ltd. or FPIT, a leader in modern industrial real estate development in ASEAN under Frasers Property Thailand Public Company Limited or FPT, disclosed that the company has reached an agreement to develop a new Built-to-Suit distribution center with Watson Thailand, commencing construction on over 20 rai of land in the Frasers Property Logistics Park Wang Noi 2 project in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, the economic hub of Thailand's central region.
“This marks the third time FPIT has earned the trust of Watson, having previously constructed two distribution centers at the Frasers Property Logistics Center Bangplee 1 and the Frasers Property Logistics Park Khon Kaen, which serves as the first regional distribution center in the northeastern region. We are pleased and honored to receive this trust again to develop a distribution center for Watson and expect to deliver this modern, high-quality warehouse by the second quarter of 2023,” Mr. Sopon stated.

Once the project is completed, FPIT will have a total distribution center area serving Watson across three projects exceeding 30,000 square meters, enhancing business capabilities in the digital commerce era and seamlessly connecting shopping experiences through both offline and online channels anytime, anywhere as needed, while supporting branch expansion and e-commerce operations.
Mr. Sopon further noted that today’s consumers expect fast and convenient doorstep delivery experiences. Therefore, distribution centers located in suitable and efficient locations are crucial for businesses to meet consumer demands. The area in Wang Noi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, is another strategic location that is highly suitable for transporting and distributing goods to Bangkok, the northern region, and the northeastern region of Thailand. Recently, FPIT also has over 300 rai of land ready for development in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, which can be developed into modern Built-to-Suit distribution centers to meet the expansion needs of businesses across all sectors.

Moreover, the company will continue to build on the success of its “Purple Ocean” strategy, “Ready - Different,” throughout the remainder of 2023 and will continue to sign contracts for the development of new industrial buildings, aiming for 200,000 square meters this year, with ongoing negotiations with potential clients.
