Five companies in the SCG Chemicals business, or SCGC, have received the CSR-DIW Continuous Award 2022 from the Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry reinforcing their leadership in comprehensive chemical solutions for sustainability, operating alongside environmental and social considerations under corporate governance principles in line with ESG and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) continuously. This year, the SCGC companies that received the award include Rayong Olefins Co., Ltd., Map Ta Phut Olefins Co., Ltd., Thai MFC Co., Ltd., Map Ta Phut Tank Terminal Co., Ltd., and Rayong Terminal Co., Ltd. They were honored by Mr. Wanchai Phanomchai, Director-General of the Department of Industrial Works, who presided over the award ceremony at the Challenger Building, Impact Muang Thong Thani.

The CSR-DIW Continuous Award demonstrates that SCGC companies have consistently met evaluation criteria and received the award every year, showcasing their commitment to maintaining business standards alongside their intention to contribute to and care for society and the environment through various corporate social responsibility activities (CSR after process), such as a project to collect recyclable waste from employees' households to donate to community waste banks, supporting community enterprises and promoting comprehensive waste separation according to circular economy principles, waste separation campaigns in communities, temples, and schools, community development projects to improve walkways, bridges, and lighting for safety, emergency preparedness training for communities, municipalities, and schools, environmental care activities such as dredging canals in community areas, beach clean-up activities, and planting forests and mangroves. Additionally, SCGC companies also maintain environmental quality control in their factories above standard levels (CSR in process) and have continuously operated according to social responsibility standards to create sustainability in line with ESG principles.
