Magnolia Quality Development Corporation (MQDC) has revealed its business strategy, emphasizing the use of advanced innovations and technologies as the core foundation for developing unique theme projects and mixed-use developments. The aim is to create new real estate projects that stand out and to expand its real estate business into the metaverse, bridging the real and virtual worlds.

Mr. Wisit Malaisirirat, Chief Executive Officer of Magnolia Quality Development Corporation (MQDC), a leading real estate developer expanding globally, stated that the company is advancing to a new level, aiming to become a real estate company with a unique business development approach.

“MQDC’s goal is not just to be an ordinary real estate developer; we intend to develop projects that cater to a happy lifestyle in every dimension, focusing on creating a lifestyle of Sustainnovation Living, which is our vision for future living that we are committed to achieving,” Mr. Wisit said.

MQDC has always prioritized innovation, investing hundreds of millions of baht to establish and develop national research centers such as RISC and FutureTales Lab. These research centers have developed new innovations and technologies to support the company’s real estate projects, differentiating them from other developers and aligning with the company’s vision and mission to address environmental issues and climate change, as well as to develop projects that consider community involvement and inclusiveness, and to conduct business that provides sustainable happiness for everyone (All Well-Being), which has been a fundamental principle guiding the company’s operations and expansion.

Particularly, the The Forestias project, located on Bangna-Trad Road at kilometer 7, valued at over 125 billion baht, has achieved sales of residential projects under The Forestias exceeding 17.2 billion baht by the end of January 2022. This includes the Six Sense Residence, the first Six Senses-branded residence in Thailand, which has already sold nearly 80% of its homes, totaling over 4.7 billion baht. Additionally, there is The Aspen Tree, a holistic lifetime care residential project for seniors aged 50 and above, and Mulberry Grove, a residential project for all generations, both of which have exceeded 50% sales.

The Forestias project serves as a model for the theme projects that the company will continue to expand. It is developed according to the company’s concrete guidelines, particularly in creating a community that fosters positive interactions among family members, between the project and its residents, and the surrounding community, as well as interactions between humans and their environment.

“Moving forward, the company will continue to expand theme projects and mixed-use developments, with new theme projects being launched every 2-3 years, as these are large-scale projects that will include various smaller projects within them. Currently, the construction of all projects in our pipeline is on schedule, and we will begin handovers as planned starting in 2023,” Mr. Wisit stated.

Mr. Wisit further mentioned that in addition to the theme projects and mixed-use developments that will gradually be unveiled after mid-2022, the company is also focusing on advancing technology and innovation to a new level with its metaverse development project. MQDC aims to create a new universe that connects the real world with the virtual world.

Mr. Parut Penpayap, Director of the Metaverse Project at MQDC, stated that since late last year, the research centers within MQDC and the business development division have been working diligently to study and innovate a metaverse project that will offer an unparalleled experience.

Since March, MQDC has been closely collaborating with Accenture, a company specializing in comprehensive metaverse design, to create a metaverse project that can provide exceptional experiences for MQDC residents and interested individuals, under the core mission that MQDC upholds: to create a happy society with a good quality of life in both the real and virtual worlds.

In addition to Accenture, MQDC is also working closely with its main partner, T&B Media Global (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a leading global animation series producer. T&B is the owner and developer of the global Translucia Metaverse, and MQDC's metaverse project will also be part of the Translucia universe.

“MQDC's metaverse project and Translucia itself have leading global partners in various fields who are gradually joining to be part of this project, which can be considered a dream project for these world-class experts. Starting from mid this year, we will continuously reveal the progress of the development,”

“We are not just creating real estate in the virtual world; what we are doing must be unique.”

“We want to provide an extraordinary experience, something we may not be able to offer in the real world, will become a reality in our metaverse,” Mr. Parut concluded.
