IHG Hotels & Resorts, a global leader in the hospitality industry, celebrates the opening of its 6,000th hotel with the launch of the '6,000 Club'.

The 6,000 Club features intriguing new hotel openings from IHG's unique portfolio, encompassing 17 brands worldwide, and aims to create exceptional experiences for hotel owners and guests every day under the concept of True Hospitality for Good.

Keith Barr, CEO of IHG, marked this achievement on June 7 by ringing the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange, alongside general managers from local hotels and the team.

Over the past five years, IHG has expanded its appeal to hotel owners and guests by acquiring or launching more than six exciting new brands, increasing its portfolio to 17 brands. This expansion offers more choices and unique experiences than ever before. The new additions in the Luxury & Lifestyle segment include Six Senses, Regent, and Vignette Collection, while the Premium segment includes voco hotels, avid hotels in the Essentials brand, and Atwell Suites in the Suites brand.

IHG aims to expand its portfolio by an additional 30 percent, with over 1,800 hotels already signed as part of this development project. This demonstrates the importance hotel owners place on IHG's brand strength and scale. To thank guests for their trust, the company has revamped its IHG One Rewards membership system to provide members with more options, greater value, and enhanced benefits, all accessible at their fingertips through IHG's new mobile app.

Additionally, the company announced exciting partnerships with sports and entertainment partners for IHG One Rewards members to access special events worldwide, including Major League Soccer, European Professional Club Rugby, and music festivals across the U.S. and the U.K. This collaboration offers members exclusive opportunities to create memorable moments at global events that could not be held in the past year.

Keith Barr, CEO of IHG, along with Paul Edgecliffe-Johnson, CFO of IHG, executives, and general managers from local hotels, ringing the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange to celebrate the milestone of opening 6,000 hotels.

Keith Barr, CEO of IHG Hotels & Resorts, stated, "I am incredibly proud of our IHG Hotels & Resorts team for reaching the milestone of opening 6,000 hotels worldwide. I would like to thank our hotel owners for their collaboration and our guests for their love and trust in our brand. Every hotel we have opened is worth celebrating as we deliver unique experiences in special locations for our guests and attract more hotel owners to join us. Furthermore, our new partnerships will connect IHG One Rewards members with even more memorable moments as travel continues to return. We also have over 1,800 hotels in development, and I look forward to seeing the next steps for IHG and celebrating many more successes in the future."
