"One Origin" under Origin Property Group is expanding the Origin Multiverse plan, laying out a roadmap for the hotel business after acquiring 3 ibis hotels to strengthen its Budget Hotel segment. It aims to have at least 8 hotels in its portfolio by 2022, totaling over 2,103 rooms, with a combined REIT value of over 14 billion baht. The company is confident that the government will lift the Test & Go measures to support the recovery of the tourism sector, while also moving forward with the opening of new hotels, including the "Intercontinental Bangkok Sukhumvit" and "Staybridge Suites Bangkok Sukhumvit."

Mr. Pitipong Trai-nurak, CEO of One Origin Co., Ltd., a recurring income business under Origin Property Public Company Limited (ORI), revealed that under the multiverse growth plan or Origin Multiverse of the Origin Group, which aims to empower its subsidiaries to have their own growth paths and gradually list on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, the company has recently acquired three ibis hotels, a budget hotel brand under the Accor chain, totaling 664 rooms from Erawan Group Public Company Limited (ERW), completed on April 29. This acquisition allows the company to enter the Budget Hotel segment, enabling it to penetrate key tourist cities and start generating revenue immediately from May onwards.

"With the addition of the ibis Phuket Kata, ibis Hua Hin, and ibis Styles Krabi Ao Nang hotels to our portfolio, our roadmap until 2024 will include hotels ranging from Budget to Luxury Hotel segments. By the end of this year, we aim to have at least 8 hotels with 2,103 rooms, estimated to have a REIT value of around 14 billion baht.

Mr. Pitipong further stated that the hotel and tourism business in 2022 is showing continuous signs of recovery. The recent announcement to lift the Test & Go travel measures effective May 1, along with plans for a full reopening, is a positive signal that will encourage foreign tourists to visit Thailand again. The company has outlined three strategies to align with the recovering tourism direction:

1. Collaborating with tourism partners to organize campaigns or promotions to attract foreign tourists together.

2. Renovating the newly acquired ibis hotels to ensure they are fresh and ready to welcome tourists.

3. Opening 2 new hotels as planned this year, including Intercontinental Bangkok Sukhumvit and Staybridge Suites Bangkok Sukhumvit.

The Intercontinental Bangkok Sukhumvit, located on Sukhumvit Soi 59, is a 5-star hotel with 241 rooms, expected to open in the fourth quarter of this year. The Staybridge Suites Bangkok Sukhumvit, a 4-star hotel and serviced apartment with 411 rooms, is located in the One Origin 24 project in the heart of Sukhumvit 24, anticipated to open in the third quarter of this year.

In addition to operations in the hotel business under this roadmap, the company remains open to considering the acquisition of hotels in potential locations to quickly generate income. At the same time, the company is also engaged in various other businesses, such as office buildings, community malls, and condominiums in key cities, expecting continuous growth and plans to list on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, with an overview of all business segments to be announced within this year.
