Mr. Nithi Patrachok, the CEO of SCG's Cement and Construction Products Business, and Mr. Nampol Malichai, the Managing Director of Sosuco Ceramic Co., Ltd. and the Managing Director of SCG Ceramics Public Company Limited, along with Mrs. Meas Monnyra, the founder of Ly Heng Chhay Group, and Mr. Ly Seng Hour, a director of LHCG Construction Store Co., Ltd. (LHCG), have signed a joint venture agreement between Sosuco Ceramic Co., Ltd. and LHCG Construction Store Co., Ltd. (LHCG).

The purpose of this agreement is to establish a joint venture to conduct wholesale and retail business distributing ceramic tiles, sanitary ware, and related products in Banteay Meanchey and Siem Reap provinces in Cambodia, which is a market with a growing demand for ceramic tiles and significant potential for continuous growth.

LHCG Construction Store Co., Ltd. (LHCG) operates in the distribution of cement and construction products in Poipet, Banteay Meanchey, and Siem Reap provinces. The company specializes in wholesale business, domestic transportation, imports, inventory distribution, and sales channels. Established in 1992, it is currently one of the distributors of COTTO products in Cambodia.

Sosuco Ceramic Co., Ltd. is a manufacturer and distributor of ceramic tiles and is currently a subsidiary of SCG Ceramics Public Company Limited, having acquired 100% of the shares since 2020. The funding for this joint venture will come from the cash flow generated by the operations of Sosuco Ceramic Co., Ltd.

It is expected that the joint venture will be established by the end of the second quarter and commence operations by the end of 2022.
