"Sansiri" Issues 100 Million Baht Bond to Launch "Zero Dropout: Every Child Must Learn" Project
"Sansiri" reaffirms its commitment to sustainable child welfare by announcing a major mission "Zero Dropout: Every Child Must Learn" through the issuance of a 100 million baht bond to support the "Fund for Educational Equality" (GSEF) , creating positive momentum to raise funds to ensure children receive equal educational opportunities. The first project is set in "Ratchaburi" with the goal of reducing the number of children dropping out of the education system to "zero" within three years.

Mr. Srettha Thavisin Chairman and CEO of Sansiri Public Company Limited stated that over the past 10 years, Sansiri has focused on helping society by addressing inequality, promoting equality, and sustainably supporting children through various projects, totaling more than 17 projects.
This year, there is a major mission to support the Fund for Educational Equality or GSEF to "create equality and reduce educational disparities" through the "Zero Dropout: Every Child Must Learn" project to sustainably improve the quality of Thai education over a long-term period of three years.
The goal of the "Zero Dropout: Every Child Must Learn" project encompasses development in all aspects, including access, quality of education, and sustainability, aiming to keep children in the education system during compulsory education (grades 1-9) and ensuring that all eligible children are ready to enroll in grade 1 at a rate of 100%.
The first project will start in Ratchaburi province, where currently about 10,000 children are at risk of dropping out of the education system, facing educational disparities due to geographical issues in border provinces.

The action plan will commence in 2022 in three districts: Suan Phueng, Chom Bueng, and Ban Ka. In 2023, it will expand to four more districts, and in 2024, to another three districts, aiming to assist over 11,200 children at risk of dropping out in Ratchaburi to achieve a "zero" dropout rate, while also providing financial support for children to prepare before entering the education system (4,000 baht per child), which will then be handed over to local mechanisms to continue the work at the community level from the fourth year onwards.
Sansiri plans to issue a bond to raise 100 million baht for this project, guaranteeing a return of 3.20% per year, with interest paid every three months throughout the bond's duration. This marks the first time a bond offers more than just investment returns, as it also represents an investment in the future of children, ensuring that no child is left behind in the education system.
The bond will be available for subscription on February 15 at 8:30 AM via the SCB Easy App only.

Dr. Krai Yas Patharawat, Manager of the Fund for Educational Equality (GSEF) stated that GSEF serves as a "mechanism to induce cooperation" among all sectors to sustainably reduce educational disparities by focusing on children and youth from the bottom 15% of households in the country.
GSEF is pleased that Sansiri recognizes the importance and is willing to be part of the solution to educational inequality, supporting funding plans to push forward projects with GSEF and partner agencies from the government, local authorities, and the private sector in Ratchaburi through the "Zero Dropout" project, hoping that this collaboration will create systemic impacts and sustainable solutions, serving as a model for the country that can be expanded in the future. Importantly, it creates opportunities for everyone to contribute to transforming the Thai education system so that every youth can access it equally.

The Sansiri bond being offered this time has a total value of up to 100 million baht, a duration of three years, and a credit rating of BBB+, aimed at donating to the Fund for Educational Equality under the Zero Dropout project. The minimum investment is 1,000 baht, allowing Thais to create history together to change the Thai education system, achieving a "zero" dropout rate. Not only will investors receive a return of 3.20% per year, with interest paid every three months throughout the bond's duration, but it is also an investment in the future of children, ensuring that no child is left behind in the education system.
The 100 million baht raised will be fully donated to GSEF to develop the "Ratchaburi Model" as a model city to ensure that children in Ratchaburi can achieve a "zero" dropout rate within three years. Subscriptions will open on February 15 at 8:30 AM via the SCB Easy App
