Dusit Thani Group has announced the appointment of Mr. Laiyat Kowawisarach, Chief Investment Officer of Dusit Thani Public Company Limited (DTC), as the Chief Executive Officer of Viman Surya Co., Ltd., effective June 1, 2020. He will accelerate the development of "Dusit Central Park," a large mixed-use project valued at 36.7 billion baht, to meet the timeline of the real estate investment plan.

       Mr. Laiyat was invited by Ms. Suphajee Suthumpun, CEO of Dusit Thani Group, to join the group in 2016 as Chief Investment Officer, overseeing investments in new businesses according to the core strategy of diversifying investment risks to create balance and sustainable growth for Dusit Thani Group.

       As the person directly responsible, Mr. Laiyat has led the team in expanding into new businesses for Dusit over the past 2-3 years, such as managing luxury villas in Asia under the brand Elite Havens, providing food services to international schools under the brand Epicure, health food restaurants under Real Foods with the brand KAUAI, and most recently, real estate development for The Hampton Sriracha by Origin and Dusit.

       With an educational background in engineering and business administration, combined with diverse project management experience from working at leading companies such as Siam Cement Group, IBM, Charoen Pokphand Group, True Corporation, Intouch Holdings, and currently Dusit Thani Group, Mr. Laiyat has earned the trust of the board and executives to take on the role of CEO of Viman Surya Co., Ltd. for the Dusit Central Park project, which is the most significant investment for Dusit Thani Group, alongside his current position as Chief Investment Officer.

       The investment in the real estate project Dusit Central Park is being carried out under a joint venture between Dusit Thani Public Company Limited and Central Pattana Public Company Limited, establishing Viman Surya Co., Ltd. as the project manager for this large mixed-use development under the concept "Here For Bangkok." This investment not only aims to transform the business model of Dusit Thani Group but also to reshape Bangkok into a metropolis recognized as one of the best cities in the world, through a project design that enhances urban planning to meet the lifestyle of city dwellers in a new context, creating a super core CBD that connects important areas from all four directions of Bangkok—Ratchaprasong, Sukhumvit, Charoen Krung, and Yaowarat—leading to a central point at a transportation hub equipped with the facilities of the MRT Silom Station and BTS Sala Daeng.
