The National Housing Authority continues the New Year gift policy from the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security for 2020 by organizing the event “Our Home, Moving Forward Together” to offer special rental contracts starting at just 999 Baht per month nationwide, with around 10,000 units available. Additionally, 35 ready-to-move-in projects are offered at special prices starting from just 250,000 Baht, with a reservation fee of only 1,000 Baht to have a chance to own your dream home, along with many other prizes.

Dr. Thatchapol Kanjanakul, Governor of the National Housing Authority (NHA) stated that the NHA has a primary mission to develop housing for low and middle-income earners while enhancing the quality of life for residents in terms of physical, economic, social, and environmental aspects for over 47 years. To achieve its mission goals in 2020, the NHA has collaborated with the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security to provide a New Year gift to the public under the campaign “Affordable Housing Nationwide”.

The NHA is accelerating the distribution of special rental contracts nationwide during the event “Our Home, Moving Forward Together” from February 23-25, 2020, from 08:30 AM to 06:00 PM at the NHA headquarters, municipal housing offices, and provincial housing offices across the country where rental projects are available at a starting price of 999 Baht per month for a total of 10,000 units nationwide. This includes 6,500 units in the Bangkok and surrounding areas comprising Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Pathum Thani, Samut Prakan, and Samut Sakhon, as well as 3,500 units in regional projects such as Chiang Mai, Lampang, Phuket, Hat Yai, Chonburi, Rayong, Chachoengsao, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Nong Khai, Ayutthaya, and Saraburi. This special rental housing project is aimed at low-income individuals who cannot afford to buy their own homes and significantly alleviates household expenses. Reservations can be made online at http://999.nha.co.th .

Since January 9, 2020, there have been over 17,000 interested individuals who have reserved rental rights through the online system (as of February 21, 2020).

For the “Rental Nationwide” project, the rental contract with the NHA is for a duration of 1 year and can be renewed annually. Applicants for the “rental home” must meet the following criteria:

1. Must be a Thai national and of legal age.

2. Household income must not exceed 40,000 Baht per month.

3. Must not be a current rental contract holder with the NHA and have no outstanding debts. If tenants wish to purchase later, they can switch to buying under the conditions set by the NHA.

The event also features a special promotion “Shock Price” offering discounts on 35 housing projects for those interested in purchasing their own homes, with prices starting at just 250,000 Baht up to a maximum of 420,000 Baht. Interested buyers can reserve with just 1,000 Baht and can borrow up to 100% or finance their home with the NHA at special interest rates, with no transfer fees and free mosquito nets and iron grills (for specific condominium projects on the 4th and 5th floors). Citizens who transfer ownership and mortgage their NHA homes under the government’s fee reduction measures by March 31, 2020, will have the chance to win various prizes.
