Give & Take: Just Give... and Receive
Many people may view "giving" as a sacrifice, expecting nothing in return except for the comfort and joy of being a giver. However, some may hesitate, thinking that giving should yield better results, perhaps something beneficial in return. In reality, the true benefit of "giving" is creating opportunities for others to change their lives.
L.P.N. Development Public Company Limited (LPN) is a company that recognizes the importance of "giving" as equivalent to creating opportunities, especially for students who are ready to embrace positive energy. LPN is committed to being part of this opportunity by providing scholarships that are not monetary but rather housing scholarships, the “LPN Scholarship”, offering 100 scholarships to students from Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, starting at the Lumpini Township Rangsit-Klong 1 condominium, selected based on the quality of the educational institution and its proximity to the project. This scholarship has been awarded since 2018 until graduation.
Since then, this year the company organized an orientation for the students in the “LPN Scholarship” program, creating an atmosphere filled with smiles and laughter. They used recreational activities to foster relationships while imparting valuable knowledge about living according to the regulations of the condominium's management, as well as encouraging participation in various community activities.
Today, the students from the Thai Traditional Medicine College at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi who received the scholarship gathered to give back for the "giving" they received by presenting a volunteer activity in the Lumpini Township Rangsit-Klong 1 project, in collaboration with the community management team of Lumpini Property Management Public Company Limited (LPP), part of LPN. The activity was named “Volunteering: We Do Good with Heart”, providing foot relaxation massages to co-owners and residents in the community, with around 155 participants over two days, including children, teenagers, adults, and the elderly, creating pride for the company as a giver, while the students also felt proud to be givers themselves.
Ms. Worakan Vichensawat, or Lukpat, is an admirable example of a recipient who has become a giver. She is a second-year student in the Health and Beauty program at the Thai Traditional Medicine College at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi. She shared her reasons for deciding to join her friends in organizing the “Volunteering: We Do Good with Heart” activity at the Lumpini Township Rangsit-Klong 1 project:
“It started when I talked to my friends who received the housing scholarship from LPN about wanting to give back by doing something beneficial for the residents in the Lumpini community, using our knowledge and skills in traditional medicine to share. So, I proposed it to the community management team here, and they were very open to it. Normally, they already organize activities for residents to participate in. Everyone here is very nice, they welcomed us with smiles, appreciated the activity, and wanted us to come back again, which made us feel less tired. From this activity, we found that people in the community still experience tension in their necks, shoulders, and backs, so we plan to expand the next activity to include traditional medical check-ups, targeted massages, and Thai massages for health.”
Believe me, whenever you are a giver, your "giving" will never be in vain, as the recipients will also feel the desire to "give" in return, creating a cycle of goodness that stems from "giving" that never ends.
