TerraBKK found that the latest figures for 2019 (Jan-Jul) show over 9.05 million tourists, with Phuket having the highest monthly tourist count in the south, generating over 31 billion baht in revenue for the province.

A tourist city not far from Bangkok, accommodating both Thai and foreign tourists. Over time, the proportion of Thai tourists has steadily increased from 32% in 2014 to 39% in 2018, and most recently to 45% in 2019 (Jan-Jul).
TerraBKK found that Chonburi is the only province in the eastern region with a monthly tourist count exceeding 100,000, generating over 15 billion baht in revenue for the province. The top 10 foreign nationalities visiting Chonburi are:
