Panistha Buri, Managing Director of BITEC, stated that currently, BITEC has over 70,000 square meters of usable space, divided into various functional zones to cater to diverse needs.

Earlier this year, BITEC and its newest area, the Pirun Convention Center, had the opportunity to host more than 115 leading global events from various industries, including the Taiwan Expo 2018, the first of its kind in Thailand, Pro Pak Asia 2018, an exhibition for the industrial and technology sectors in manufacturing, processing, and packaging, and ASEANbeauty 2018, the largest beauty and health product showcase in the ASEAN region.

This year, BITEC is focused on development to meet the increasing demand, aiming to be a venue ready for world congresses, national and international exhibitions, as well as lifestyle events and gatherings. This effort relies on collaboration from both the public and private sectors, along with continuous personnel development to drive the growth potential of the MICE industry and establish Thailand as a true hub for exhibitions in the ASEAN region.

Towards the end of the year, BITEC has gathered numerous exhibitions and conferences to align with the vision of the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), which aims to enhance Thailand's image as a destination for meetings, seminars, and exhibitions. The goal is to host MICE events and attract a total of 30.1 million MICE travelers, with an anticipated economic value generating 174 billion baht, comprising 1.19 million international visitors contributing 112 billion baht, and 29 million domestic visitors generating 62 billion baht.
