The Thai Condominium Association, the Thai Real Estate Association, and the Housing Business Association have joined forces to organize the 39th Housing and Condo Expo, targeting the real estate market at year-end. They are rallying developers to launch new projects while clearing stock for the final quarter.

          Mr. Pitiphat Pridanont, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the 39th Housing and Condo Expo, revealed that "the overall real estate market in the second half of the year shows a clear upward trend, as evidenced by the increasing number of new project launches by developers. This is seen as a response to the improving GDP figures and the government's ongoing construction of various electric train projects, including the dark green line extension from Mo Chit to the new bridge and Kukot, the light green line extension from Bang Wa station to Taling Chan, the blue line currently under construction for both underground and elevated extensions from Tao Poon station and Hua Lamphong station, the pink line from the government center in Nonthaburi to Min Buri, the dark red line from Bang Sue to Rangsit, the light red line from Taling Chan to Bang Sue, the yellow line from Lat Phrao to Samrong, and the orange line from the Cultural Center to Suwinthawong. Additionally, there are other projects such as high-speed rail, dual-track railways, motorways, action plans, and EEC projects that will help expand residential locations further out."

          Other factors supporting the growth of the real estate market this year include tourism, exports, and private sector investments that are on the rise. Importantly, interest rates are expected to remain unchanged this year, and banks are easing lending standards, increasing opportunities for consumers looking to buy homes. Meanwhile, current inflation rates are still low, which helps with construction costs, rental prices, and transportation of materials.

          Mr. Pitiphat continued, "The 39th Housing and Condo Expo will feature both new projects and existing stock, with products displayed categorized by project type: approximately 35% condominiums, 20% single-family homes, 15% townhouses, and others such as duplex homes, second-hand houses, and vacant land making up 30%. It is expected that the most popular products will be single-family homes, condominiums, and townhouses, followed by duplex homes and others priced below 2 million baht, followed by those in the 2-3 million baht range. This aligns with the age group of attendees, most of whom are first jobbers or those starting their own businesses, aged 21-30, making up 35%, followed by new families aged 31-40 at 30%, and those aged 41-50 at about 15%. Furthermore, residential projects in Bangkok and its vicinity will attract more interest than those in provincial areas, with a ratio of 70:30. The organizing committee also predicts that over the four days of the event, more than 100,000 people will attend, with bookings and sales at the event exceeding 4 billion baht and continued sales after the event exceeding 8 billion baht, totaling no less than 12 billion baht," Mr. Pitiphat added.

          The 39th Housing and Condo Expo is organized by the Thai Condominium Association, the Thai Real Estate Association, and the Housing Business Association under the concept of “SMART Thinking: HOUSE CONDO SOLUTIONS to Make Living Easy”, focusing on the intelligent selection of residential locations.

          Mr. Pitiphat stated, "The organizing committee strives to create highlights at each event to keep it fresh and stimulate consumer interest.
