Lion Vichit Amnuayraksakul (4th from the left), President of the Lions Club of Bangkok (Rattanakosin) for the 2016-2018 term, chaired the annual general meeting along with the club's executive committee. They reviewed the accomplishments over the past two years, which included various social assistance initiatives such as providing cement ponds for raising catfish and catfish fry for the school lunch program at the Border Patrol Police School in Takopitthong, Suan Phueng District, Ratchaburi Province. They also supported a forest restoration project in special reforestation areas within the national reserved forests of Wang Ploeng, Mueang Kham, and Lam Narai in Lopburi Province for a duration of 10 years starting from 2018. Additionally, they organized a celebration for the 50th anniversary of the club's founding. A delegation from the club attended the 55th anniversary celebration of the Hosaka Lions Club in Miyakojima, Japan, where they received the Outstanding Club President award from Lions International. The committee's term will end on June 30, 2018, and thus, the inauguration ceremony for Lion Pongpan Sawaputthasuwet (3rd from the left) as the President of the Lions Club of Bangkok (Rattanakosin) for the 2018-2019 term was held to plan for ongoing support and assistance to society and disadvantaged individuals in line with Lions International's core policies. The ceremony was honored by the presence of Lion Somsak Tetsalee, former Chair of the Lions International Governors Council, Lion Tawidech Wongtrirat, former District Governor of District 310 C, and Lion Ph.D. Supawan Siripichairom, former District Governor of District 310 C, at the meeting held at the Cross To Vibe Bangkok Hotel (Sukhumvit 52) recently.
