Areeya Property Launches 'Learning Center for Children and Youth at Construction Sites'
Areeya Property Public Company Limited, a leader in horizontal and vertical real estate development in Thailand, has been operating based on governance principles, focusing on creating happiness and sustainable environments for the past three years (Sustainable Happiness). They have initiated the establishment of learning centers at construction sites aimed at developing knowledge and skills for the children of workers, promoting and caring for personnel at all levels to ensure a happy working environment, fostering 'sustainable happiness from home building,' which leads to effective job creation.

Dr. Tawirak Klinsukon, Director of the Community Development and Customer Service Promotion Division at Areeya Property Public Company Limited, revealed that Areeya Property believes in sustainable happiness, starting from the well-being of strong personnel at all levels. Thus, they created the project 'Learning Center for Children and Youth at Construction Sites' (Child Friendly Space), initiated to establish quality of life standards for workers, providing comprehensive care for employees, reducing concerns for their children by ensuring a safe environment free from construction site hazards, while also offering beneficial education. Areeya operates this process based on the principle that when workers have good physical and mental health without worries, they will be more prepared and responsible in their assigned tasks. Additionally, it includes stability in personnel and labor, avoiding issues of a shortage of quality labor to sustainably elevate standards.
Since the project's inception in 2015, Areeya has established a total of 6 learning centers in various project areas, including Hatyai Rat, Sai Noi in Nonthaburi, Bangna, Bang Bua Thong, Rangsit Klong 4, and Rangsit Klong 5. Currently, two main project areas are still ongoing: Sai Noi in Nonthaburi and Rangsit Klong 5. This initiative aims to develop the well-being of children and youth in various aspects, teaching them to coexist with others, make new friends, and adapt to society. It also promotes knowledge exchange in life skills and basic subjects such as Thai, English, art, and instills positive thinking, such as planting trees to learn about environmental conservation, as well as maintaining good health and cleanliness. Recreational activities are also organized for children to enjoy and relax with their families.

Mr. Sompong Sakaew from the Labor Quality of Life Promotion Network Foundation added that the foundation has been working on managing migrant labor and coexistence in Thai society, making all sectors aware of the importance and seriously addressing issues such as migrant labor, children, families, and dependents. They have recognized the gaps in the quality of life of foreign workers in Thailand, which aligns with Areeya's policies, leading to a decision to collaborate on developing the project in construction areas into a concrete learning center for children and youth. In addition to providing regular teachers to impart knowledge and enhance various basic skills, they are also laying the groundwork for systematic education to ensure that they have knowledge comparable to Thai youth by collaborating with nearby public schools, which have been supportive in allowing them to continue their education, such as Wat Klong Kwang School (Jarun Chonnam Ratsabhamrung) in Sai Noi, Nonthaburi. They also extend support to parents by providing training on rights and various welfare according to labor protection laws, as well as developing vocational training to create income for themselves and their families, along with knowledge for future employment upon returning to their hometowns.
With a commitment to continue the good intentions, they plan to expand the project area of the 'Learning Center for Children and Youth at Construction Sites' (Child Friendly Space) to larger construction areas in all zones in the future, to accommodate the children and youth of workers under Areeya Property, as well as those under contractors, providing them with opportunities to learn and enhance their skills comprehensively, leading to a better quality of life and developing into 'capable and good' youth sustainably.
