Supalai Research Center Indicates Continuous Growth in the Condo Market for 2018

The Supalai Research Center conducted a survey on the sales conditions of condominiums across various price segments in key areas of Bangkok for the years 2017 and 2016, as shown in Table 1. The findings revealed that the supply of condominiums in different price segments remained relatively unchanged between 2017 and 2016. Additionally, the survey examined condominiums with a sales rate of 6% or more per month based on the number of units available in each project. It was found that the number of condominiums with a sales rate of 6% or more per month remained consistent between 2017 and 2016, except for the central area, which saw an increase in 2017 compared to 2016.

The above findings indicate that both the supply and demand for condominiums in 2017 remained strong, or even stronger than in 2016. Therefore, the Supalai Research Center believes that the sales conditions for condominiums will continue to be favorable and will not change in the near future.

Ongoing condominium projects continue to create supply in new locations throughout Bangkok, with developers needing to anticipate consumer demand for condominiums in various areas, which still aligns with the principle that supply creates its own demand.
