Home Builder Association Confirms Success, Confident in Recovery of Home Building Market <\/strong>After the Home Building Expo HBMF 2018, bookings exceeded 1.1 billion baht <\/strong>The Home Builder Association is pleased with the results of the event “Home Building and Materials Home Builder & Materials Focus 2018” held under the concept ”Innovative Living” for 4 days, achieving sales exceeding 1.1 billion baht. The most popular house prices ranged from 2.5 to 5 million baht.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>
Ms. Siriporn Singharun <\/strong><\/span>President of the Home Builder Association (HBA) revealed the success of the event “Home Building and Materials Home Builder & Materials Focus 2018” held from March 15-18, under the concept ”Innovative Living” which showcased new house designs and innovations in home building and materials, along with special promotions. Over the 4 days of the event, bookings for home construction exceeded 1.1 billion baht. It is expected that after the event, there will be more follow-up bookings as many customers have not yet made decisions. This is considered a success beyond expectations and sets a record for home booking sales higher than previous events, with the most bookings coming from house designs priced between 2.5 to 5 million baht.<\/p>
<\/strong><\/span>Moreover, the increase in home construction bookings during the event can be attributed to several factors, including the overall home building market showing positive growth since late 2017, government spending on infrastructure investment, the expansion of the real estate sector, and the current inflation and interest rates not being excessively high. Consumers also have increased purchasing power compared to previous periods. Additionally, new members of the association introduced ready-made house designs at the event, offering a wider variety of house prices, with the lowest priced house starting at 300,000 baht (for a ready-made design) up to houses priced over 20 million baht, along with various promotions and special financing options from leading financial institutions, making it easier for buyers to make decisions.<\/p>
<\/strong><\/span>“When comparing the value of home construction at this event, it may not have increased significantly compared to last year, as the house designs presented have lower prices, particularly the ready-made houses priced at 300,000 baht. However, this creates opportunities for consumers to build quality homes from home building companies and also allows them to share market share with general contractors. Additionally, the trend of rising construction costs and material prices also encourages consumer decision-making.”<\/p>
Based on the data collected from event registrants, the price range of houses that received the most interest for construction bookings was in the range of 2.51-5 million baht, accounting for 38.1%. The next highest was the price range of 5.01-10 million baht, accounting for 28.6%. The group priced below 2.5 million baht accounted for 24.6%. The remaining groups were priced at 10.01-20 million baht, accounting for 5.56%, and those priced at 20.01 million baht and above, accounting for 3.17%.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>
<\/strong><\/span>“The Home Building and Materials Home Builder Focus & Materials Focus 2018” was held from March 15-18 at the Plenary Hall, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. This event is considered one of the main activities of the association aimed at elevating the standards of the home building business to be more recognized by consumers and enhancing the confidence in Thai home building businesses. This time, over 40 home building companies participated, showcasing a wide variety of house designs, making it the only event that gathers the most house designs. Additionally, many companies presented their latest house designs at the exhibition.<\/p>
