Bangkok, Thailand, November 8, 2017: Proud Real Estate Co., Ltd. (Proud Real Estate) is expanding its investment in Hua Hin, allocating an additional budget of over 1.8 billion baht to develop "Vana Nava Hua Hin" as a mixed-use project, pioneering the "Playcation" concept, a new landmark for leisure and comprehensive entertainment in Thailand. The project will include the "Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin" hotel and "Vana Nava Sky," a bar, restaurant, and sky-viewing point, enhancing convenience for tourists and targeting new customer segments. The goal is to set a benchmark for mixed-use tourism projects, with plans to launch a similar project in Phuket soon.

Ms. Prawpud Lipatpallop, Executive Director of Proud Real Estate Co., Ltd., revealed plans to develop the "Vana Nava Hua Hin" project into a prototype mixed-use destination for leisure and comprehensive entertainment, or "Resort Destination", the first of its kind in Thailand, with a total investment of nearly 4 billion baht on a 35-rai area. Following the success of the first phase, "Vana Nava Water Jungle," one of the best water parks in Thailand, which has been in operation for three years, Proud has invested another 1.8 billion baht this year to move forward with the second phase, including the "Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin" hotel and "Vana Nava Sky," a bar, restaurant, and sky-viewing point, along with a complete renovation of the water park. The final phase, "Vana Nava Residence," a high-rise condominium, is expected to open by 2018.

"The profile of tourists coming to Hua Hin has changed from primarily older travelers from Europe to younger Asian family tourists, leading to increased market demand. These customers seek more adventurous travel experiences beyond just beach relaxation and cultural tourism; they desire fun experiences and memorable activities to share with friends and family. Vana Nava Hua Hin will be the most complete and modern mixed-use tourism destination in the country under the Playcation concept, offering facilities for all customer segments, divided into three main groups: families, couples, and corporate meetings and seminars," Prawpud stated.

The Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin is a 4-star hotel with 300 rooms, standing 140 meters tall, making it the tallest hotel in Hua Hin, offering panoramic sea views and featuring diverse functions that provide a competitive edge over other hotels in the area. It includes one of the largest meeting and event spaces (MICE) in Hua Hin, with a ballroom of over 1,500 square meters, equipped with comprehensive and modern meeting facilities, and an infinity pool on the top floor with views of Hua Hin city and Khao Tao. Additionally, there are other amenities such as an all-day dining restaurant, lobby bar, 24-hour fitness center, spa, and kids' club. Importantly, all guests will have unlimited access to the water park during their stay, with a special entrance to avoid queues or ticket purchases.

Moreover, Proud has launched "Vana Nava Sky," the rooftop bar on the 27th floor, featuring a sky deck with a glass floor, 110 meters above ground, offering views of Hua Hin Bay, Khao Takiab, and Khao Tao, creating another significant landmark in Hua Hin and a must-visit destination for tourists. Proud has also brought in Ashley Sutton, the mastermind behind several world-class destination bars such as Maggie Choo’s, Iron Fairies in Bangkok, and Ophelia in Hong Kong, to join the team.

"The essence of the Playcation concept is to create an experience that seamlessly blends fun and convenience for our customers. We have incorporated RFID technology to facilitate hotel guests, who will receive RFID wristbands that can be used for water park access, opening hotel room doors, and paying for food and services. Guests can choose to pay either pre-paid or post-paid, allowing parents to load funds for their children as needed or enabling seminar groups to manage their expenses. Additionally, we plan to develop the use of technology for other services in the future, such as e-commerce within the rooms," Prawpud added.

Furthermore, the company has improved various amenities within the water park to enhance customer experience, adding a new zone called "Vana Wonderland," a 600-square-meter area for young children featuring a large splash pad with water jets and toy guns under a theme of international animals and giant colorful flowers. A new concept restaurant located inside the cave, "Vana Cave Cafe," and a "Vana Learning Center" for school groups visiting Vana Nava Hua Hin will also be introduced. Prawpud further stated, "We can now offer unique meeting packages, such as private dining and parties at the 'Wavepool' in the water park, and team-building activities that incorporate fun experiences in the water park. Additionally, we will launch a revamped program for student groups, featuring challenging activities throughout the water park that will teach children about the basics of physics, water management systems, and even English language skills."

To truly differentiate the experience of staying in Hua Hin, Proud plans to integrate hotel services and sales with its other investments in Hua Hin, including the InterContinental Hua Hin Resort, Bluport Hua Hin Resort Mall, and True Arena Hua Hin, a sports lifestyle center. It is expected that the Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin will achieve an ADR (average daily rate) that is at least 20% higher than competitors, with an occupancy rate between 60-70% in its first year of operation, resulting in an additional 100,000 visitors to the Vana Nava water park each year, totaling 350,000 visitors annually.

If proven successful, Proud Real Estate plans to develop more projects under the "Playcation" concept in other areas as well. "Recently, the company acquired a large plot of land in Phuket and is studying the feasibility of developing a similar project with a large water park and hotel, incorporating various technologies, as well as other resorts and water parks throughout the region that we are helping to plan. Last year, we signed a joint venture agreement with WhiteWater West Canada to establish WhiteWater South East Asia, which provides comprehensive consulting services for developers looking to build water parks in Southeast Asia. Within the first year, WhiteWater South East Asia has already undertaken six projects in four countries," Prawpud concluded.

The Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin will welcome tourists in November with a soft opening, starting at 2,999++ baht per night, with unlimited access to the water park. The introductory rate is available for stays from December 15, 2017, to April 30, 2018, with reservations starting from November 9 onward.
