Bangkok, November 2, 2017 - Thai Gypsum Products Public Company Limited, the first gypsum manufacturer in Thailand and the producer of high-quality gypsum innovations under the brand "Gyproc," announced the winners of the "Saint-Gobain Gyproc National Trophy Thailand 2017." This concluded a highly competitive search for leading architectural projects in Thailand that were decorated with Gyproc gypsum ceilings and walls throughout the buildings, to participate in the global gypsum innovation showcase. The response from contractors, project owners, architects, and designers was overwhelming, with numerous entries submitted. The Saint-Gobain Gyproc National Trophy Thailand is considered one of the largest architectural competitions in the Thai gypsum industry, aimed at honoring those who excel in gypsum product installation and promoting professionals with outstanding skills in creating remarkable construction works in Thailand to gain widespread recognition in the international decoration industry.

          The winners of the "Saint-Gobain Gyproc National Trophy Thailand 2017" include the project awarded for Innovation and Sustainability, which is the Bumrungrad International Hospital by Consys Co., Ltd. and Task Interior Co., Ltd. The winner in the Plaster category is The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Bangkok, by Pace Interior Services Co., Ltd. The winner in the Plasterboard category is Ibis Impact Hotel (Muang Thong Thani), Bangkok, by Bwick-Thai Co., Ltd. The project awarded in the Non-Residential category is Terminal 21 Korat Shopping Center by Riththa Co., Ltd.

          The Saint-Gobain Gyproc National Trophy Thailand, one of the largest architectural competitions in the Thai gypsum industry, attracted numerous outstanding projects in the categories of Innovation and Sustainability, Plasterboard, Plaster, and Non-Residential buildings. The judging panel consisted of esteemed experts in gypsum work and representatives from the construction industry, with evaluation criteria focusing on three main aspects: craftsmanship skills, emphasizing the quality of workmanship and technical challenges in construction; contractor performance, promoting the effective use of gypsum products and solutions in construction; and overall project quality, assessing the overall quality of the building/project in terms of user comfort and sustainability. The judging committee included representatives from the Engineering Council, the Association of Siamese Architects, the media, and private business organizations, including Professor Dr. Amorn Pimanmas, Secretary of the Engineering Council, Pol. Lt. Col. Bandit Pradubsuk, Vice President of the Association of Siamese Architects under the Royal Patronage, Editor-in-Chief Theerathada of ART4D magazine, Jermmai Pitakwong, Executive Editor of the House and Garden magazine group, and Kittichai Chamjit, Technical Director of Thai Gypsum Products Public Company Limited.

          Pol. Lt. Col. Bandit Pradubsuk, Vice President of the Association of Siamese Architects under the Royal Patronage stated, "The Saint-Gobain Gyproc National Trophy is one of the largest architectural competitions in the Thai gypsum industry, aimed at discovering outstanding construction and decoration projects in the country and providing opportunities for architects and designers in Thailand to present their projects on the global stage. It also helps elevate the standards of architectural design in the Thai construction market. The selection of projects to represent Thailand in this global competition is quite challenging, as all submitted projects are distinctively outstanding. Therefore, the winners of this event affirm the skills and expertise of Thai architects and installation contractors, which are on par with projects from around the world."

          This competition is open to contractors, project owners, architects, and designers in Thailand who use Gyproc products in their outstanding designs, showcasing the architectural value of Thailand to the world. The winners in each category will represent Thailand in the 11th Saint-Gobain Gypsum International Trophy, competing with 45 countries worldwide on March 23, 2018, while also enjoying a travel experience and site visits in Lisbon, Portugal, with all expenses covered throughout the trip, to learn about the global construction industry, including innovations, sustainable solutions, and outstanding architectural projects that utilize Gyproc products or products from the Saint-Gobain group.
