- EEC DT and MQDC are preparing to unveil a joint project to develop future technology, specifically the District Cooling system, which can save over half the energy, addressing issues of heat, noise, and maintenance associated with traditional air conditioning systems.
- DTGO sees market opportunities in green buildings that create added value and higher rental returns.

Bangkok October 30, 2017 - Magnolia Quality Development Corporation (MQDC) reaffirms its leadership in energy technology and high-efficiency utilities through the joint venture with EEC DT.
EEC DT is a joint venture between two partners: the EEC Group, which specializes in sustainable engineering systems, and the DT Group, the parent company of MQDC.
Mr. Rach Tantana, Chairman of the DT Group, stated that this joint venture demonstrates the DT Group's commitment to leading the green building industry, which is a rapidly growing market.
“EEC DT will reinforce MQDC's strategy of 'innovation for sustainability' by introducing this advanced technology not only in Thailand but also aiming for a global reach.
“The EEC Group's leadership in sustainable engineering is evident from its international projects, including several large-scale projects in the Persian Gulf. EEC DT will help drive change in the Thai market by promoting the development of more sustainable buildings, such as certified green buildings.”
EEC DT will be involved in all stages of MQDC's future real estate projects, from design to implementation, which will transform the development of central utility systems moving forward,” said Mr. Kesha, Chairman of the EEC Group.

“This joint venture will focus on presenting future technologies, such as centralized cooling technology, which can reduce electricity bills by more than half, decrease cooling system consumption, and eliminate issues related to noise, heat, and maintenance of traditional air conditioning systems,” Mr. Kesha stated.
“We will introduce a 'positive energy use system' to the Thai real estate market as well. This system will manage all energy usage, such as cogeneration systems that can produce electricity and thermal energy in one system,” Mr. Kesha added.
Mr. Wisit Malaisirirat, CEO of Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited (MQDC) said that the establishment of this joint venture will strengthen the collaboration between MQDC and the EEC Group.
“MQDC is excited to present world-class leading technology for the first time, marking a revolution in the industry. At the same time, this new technology will benefit both the residents of the projects, society, and our planet,” Mr. Wisit stated.
“We have previously collaborated with EEC to some extent, including the award-winning WHIZDOM 101 project. However, this time, our cooperation will be even more intense, working together at every step, such as in the joint development of high-efficiency energy technology.
The WHIZDOM 101 project is a mixed-use real estate development located on Sukhumvit Road, near the Punnawithi BTS station. It is currently shortlisted for the Ministry of Energy's awards under the smart city – clean energy initiative, resulting from the use of advanced district cooling technology and energy recovery from footsteps.
The structure of the joint venture in EEC DT consists of the DT Group holding 60%, the EEC Group holding 30%, and private investors holding 10%.
