The 37th Housing and Condo Fair Showcases Strength, Maintaining Transaction Volume Close to 4 Billion Baht
October 10, 2017 – The Thai Real Estate Association, the Housing Business Association, and the Thai Condominium Association announced the success of the 37th Housing and Condo Fair, as sales, loan applications, and visitor numbers remained close to previous levels.
Mr. Adirek Saengsaikaew, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the 37th Housing and Condo Fair, revealed the event's success, stating that during the 4-day event from October 5-8, it coincided with a month when the public was awaiting a significant royal ceremony to express their condolences and remember the immense royal benevolence. However, the 37th Housing and Condo Fair, under the concept of "Living Solution: A New Dimension of Living Space," brought together nearly 200 companies from across the country showcasing existing and new projects, with almost 1,000 projects available for sale across various locations, along with special promotions. Additionally, leading financial institutions offered loan services to customers. Over the 4 days, although visitor numbers decreased by 25% compared to the previous event in March 2017, sales only dropped by 12%, which exceeded expectations. This indicates that the attendees were genuinely interested buyers, showing that the demand for housing remains strong and that next year's demand trend is expected to improve.

Regarding the booking numbers during the event, the top three types of housing booked were condominiums, townhouses, and single-family homes, followed by commercial buildings and others. Additionally, nearly 10 billion baht in loan applications were submitted by the public.
In terms of data analysis from registered attendees, the most sought-after housing projects were ranked as follows: single-family homes at 37.17%, condominiums at 35.66%, and townhouses at 16.88%. The remaining interest was in duplex homes and commercial buildings. Over 66.69% of attendees were first-time visitors, while 33.31% had attended before. The age group of attendees showed that over 36.95% were between 21-30 years old, followed by 31.89% aged 31-40 years, and 15.46% aged 41-50 years. In terms of monthly personal income, most attendees earned less than 30,000 baht (38.39%), while 26.17% earned between 30,000-50,000 baht, and 12.16% earned over 50,000 baht. Regarding the desired timeline for purchasing in the future, 20.26% indicated a timeframe of 1-2 years, 17.02% within 6-12 months, and 13.15% within 1-3 months.

Regarding budget surveys for purchasing different types of housing, 29.79% of attendees expressed a desire for housing priced between 1-2 million baht, 28.11% wanted housing priced between 2-3 million baht, and 18.64% sought housing priced between 3-4 million baht. Only 5.74% were interested in housing priced below 1 million baht.
The 38th Housing and Condo Fair is scheduled to take place from March 15-18, 2018, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, hosted by the Housing Business Association, with Mr. Waratphop Pathayanan as the honored president of the event.
