In remembrance of the graciousness of His Majesty King Rama IX, Thailand Post Co., Ltd. (Thailand Post) organized an event to commemorate World Post Day on October 9, under the theme “The Father's Determination to Continue the Growth of the Community”. This initiative reflects the principles of sufficiency economy and launches the project “Thai Post... for a Land of Virtue and Prosperity,” aimed at driving the country forward through community economic development.

During this year's World Post Day event, an exhibition was held to showcase the remarkable achievements of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej in various aspects, including his royal aspirations, teachings, royal duties, and projects initiated under his guidance, narrating the story of his 70-year reign through stamps.

Additionally, there was a special stamp pack and souvenir merchandise available for sale, including commemorative stamps celebrating the 70th anniversary of the throne and stamps marking the 65th birthday of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun. Attendees could also pre-order the annual stamp book for 2017, a special album from 1950 for the benefit of the people of Siam, and a special pack of stamps commemorating the royal cremation ceremony of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. There was also a personal stamp photo corner (iStamp) titled “The Heart of the People” and an opportunity for the public to send postcards for free to promote letter writing among Thais.

Visitors who purchase products or participate in activities at the event will receive a commemorative postcard featuring the stamp of King Rama IX, produced in a special edition of 7 designs throughout the 7-day event, along with a daily stamp for keepsake.

The activities commemorating World Post Day will take place from today until October 11, 2017, at the connecting area on the G floor, Central Zone, Future Park Rangsit shopping center.
