BangkokAugust 25, 2017 - Thai Gypsum Products Public Company Limited, the first gypsum manufacturer in Thailand and the producer of high-quality gypsum innovations under the brand "Yiprock," invites contractors, project owners, and architects to submit their construction or decoration works that utilize Yiprock products to participate in the "Saint-Gobain Yiprock National Trophy Thailand 2017". The winners in each category will represent Thailand in a competition with 45 other countries worldwide at the 11th Saint-Gobain Gypsum International Trophy in Lisbon, Portugal, on March 23, 2018. Interested parties can submit their works for the competition from today until September 22, 2017, with the final judging round taking place on September 28, 2017.

          The Saint-Gobain Yiprock National Trophy Thailand is considered one of the largest competitions in the gypsum industry in Thailand, held to honor those who excel in the installation of gypsum products and to promote individuals with outstanding construction skills and creativity in Thailand to gain wider recognition in the international interior design community. The competition is divided into four categories:

  1. Plasterboard
  2. Gypsum Plaster
  3. Innovation & Sustainability
  4. Non-Residential Buildings

           Mr. Richard Juchery, Managing Director of Thai Gypsum Products Public Company Limited stated, "We are very proud to host this competition for the second year in Thailand after receiving overwhelming feedback from the first event in 2015, which allowed us to discover outstanding projects in Thailand that utilize Yiprock products.

          This enables Thailand to showcase its high craftsmanship in construction and building decoration using gypsum board and plaster products as alternatives to traditional construction methods, as well as the effective and safe selection of solutions that meet global standards. Additionally, this event serves as an important opportunity to promote Thai architectural works, particularly in project management and material selection, to the global audience. The Saint-Gobain Yiprock National Trophy Thailand thus honors and awards projects that can create construction and decoration works that are beautiful, sustainable, functional, and cost-effective all in one."

          The Saint-Gobain Gypsum International Trophy is held every two years, starting from national and regional competitions to bring winners from each country to compete on a global stage. The results are judged by an independent panel of experts in gypsum from various countries, including representatives from Saint-Gobain.

This competition is therefore a significant event in the construction industry and one of the largest competitions in the world.
