Mr. Pongworrat Tiyapornchai, the project manager of Stadium One, stated that the Stadium One project, developed by The Sport Society Co., Ltd., includes a management team comprising Mr. Sitthichai Srisangwankul (CEO), Mr. Thanomkiat Sammawutchai (Executive Director), and Mr. Natthaphak Rikitthasirikul (Director). They organized the "STADIUM ONE OPEN HOUSE" to reinforce confidence among partners and business associates after securing a concession from Chulalongkorn University for the construction and management of Stadium One, with a total investment of approximately 200 million baht. The project operates under the concept of "Stadium of Life," serving as Thailand's first comprehensive retail center for sports and fitness enthusiasts, and the largest in Southeast Asia. It recognizes the continuous growth trend in health-related products and services, as well as the increasing interest in health and fitness, with expectations to attract up to 10,000 health lovers daily.
"The Stadium One project is located at the intersection of Rama 1 Road and Phra Ram 9 Road, near the National Stadium and the Thephasadin Football Field, connecting to the 100-Year Chulalongkorn Park, a large public park of over 30 rai. The project features 129 retail shops within a 5,000 square meter retail space, divided into two main sections: a sports retail area and a fitness service center. Additionally, it includes a 2,000 square meter sports activity area, the first of its kind in Thailand. The main objective of the project is to revitalize this legendary sports venue while promoting health and fitness awareness among Bangkok residents. The project also addresses the need for facilities such as showers, lockers, parking for up to 150 cars, and approximately 700 parking spaces in the surrounding area. Furthermore, Stadium One comprises six zones: a retail zone, a running and cycling zone, a sports goods zone, a food and beverage zone, a health zone, and a family zone to cater to all lifestyles," Mr. Pongworrat added.
On the business partner side, Mr. Visan Vanasaksrisakul, CEO and Managing Director of Warrix Sport Co., Ltd., one of the major business partners, expressed that upon learning about the project model and the management's vision, which aims to revitalize the legendary space for sports apparel and equipment, Warrix has focused on the Thai sportswear market, emphasizing quality at affordable prices and sustainable growth. This year, they signed a four-year partnership with the Thai national football team, and with Warrix's rapid growth, they see an opportunity to open a new Flagship Store, marking the first official store for the national football team in Thailand, featuring the largest inventory worth over 20 million baht, confident that this landmark will become a hub for football and fitness enthusiasts.
"The Warrix Store at Stadium One spans over 1,500 square meters, comprising nine retail units across three floors, with the first and second floors dedicated to retail space and the third floor serving as a Stock Hub. The building is designed to connect seamlessly, supporting marketing plans from late 2017 to 2018, during which Warrix will expand its product range in line with the growing health trends in Thailand, including semi-scientific sports products focused on muscle care, particularly for running, badminton, and boxing," he added.
Mr. Phrompong Tantivaran, Sales and Marketing Director of SCG Yamato Express Co., Ltd. in SCG Cement - Construction Products is another major business partner who stated that SCG Express manages a rapid parcel delivery service in partnership with Yamato Group from Japan, specializing in professional transportation systems. They are confident in the project management's vision and believe that Stadium One will become a new sports landmark in the city center, attracting health enthusiasts who are eager to visit this location to meet their lifestyle needs. The venue is conveniently accessible by private car, public transport, or the BTS Skytrain, along with comprehensive facilities provided by the project. Therefore, SCG Express sees a business opportunity and has decided to reserve space to expand service branches in the heart of Bangkok, catering to the growing market for sports apparel, equipment, and more, both through physical stores and an increasingly expanding online marketplace, with plans to open by mid-August, operating from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with future plans to operate 24 hours a day.
