This festival will take place in every corner of Singapore from July 14 to July 30, 2017, featuring a packed schedule of activities waiting for you to experience firsthand.

STREAT

STREAT is undoubtedly the star attraction of the Singapore Food Festival. Here, you can taste traditional Singaporean dishes that have been reimagined with contemporary flavors and presentations. This event is particularly special because, in addition to a lineup of pop-up restaurants that will leave you spoilt for choice, Michelin-starred chef Malcom Lee from Candlenut and chef Willin Low, the founder of Wild Rocket, will collaborate to create innovative local dishes for everyone to try. Not only will you enjoy delicious food, but you will also have a great time relaxing with friends in a pleasant atmosphere.

Date: July 14-15, from 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

The 50 Cents Fest

This event invites participants to reminisce about the past through Singapore's famous street food, with the concept “Those Years” that takes you back to Singapore's golden era in the 1980s. You can indulge in the nostalgic atmosphere of Chinatown, a renowned area in Singapore famous for its exquisite food. Attendees will have the opportunity to taste rare dishes today, such as Pok Pok noodles and Hainanese zongzi, all of which are steeped in fascinating cultural stories. This event is sure to make you feel like a child again.

The Heritage Food Trail

Singapore is a country with a rich and harmonious blend of cultures, so don’t miss the Heritage Food Trail, where you will learn about Peranakan food and culture in detail while exploring the Katong and Joo Chiat areas in just a few hours. It begins with a meal served in the Tok Panjang style, a long table setup for celebrations filled with various dishes, which is typically reserved for special occasions. Additionally, you will have the chance to make Ondeh Ondeh, a Malay dessert made from glutinous rice flour mixed with pandan juice, filled with palm sugar, and rolled in coconut, all by yourself!

Date: July 22 and 29 from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM. [Participation fee: SGD 55 per person]

Location: Kim Choo Artiste Residency
