The real estate market in Hat Yai, particularly the condominium sector, continues to thrive. Recently, Sansiri showcased its success by closing the 'D Condo Kanchanavanich' project, transferring all 1,268 units valued at over 2 billion baht. The success stems from the strong brand of D Condo and its prime location, just 1.3 kilometers from Central Festival and Makro, along with a distinctive design inspired by grid lines and urban planning, perfectly blending with architecture under the concept of 'Accessing Good Corners of Life.' A new project is set to launch soon, reflecting the high demand in Hat Yai, with accumulated demand responding at 85%. The future of the real estate market in Hat Yai is expected to grow significantly alongside the city's economic expansion, benefiting from the Hat Yai monorail and the Hat Yai-Sadao motorway, which are set to be completed in 2021.

Mr. Somkiat Hongsapphinyoo, Deputy Managing Director of Business Development and Horizontal Project Development at Sansiri Public Company Limited, revealed that the real estate market in Hat Yai continues to grow, especially in the condominium sector, which still has high demand. This is evidenced by the recent completion of the 'D Condo Kanchanavanich' project, totaling 1,268 units valued at over 2 billion baht. The success comes from its prime location near Central Festival and Makro, just 1.3 kilometers away, as well as the unique design and branding under the concept of 'Accessing Good Corners of Life,' featuring a large common area and a 70-meter saltwater swimming pool, along with after-sales service that meets Sansiri's standards.

“The condominium market in Hat Yai has high demand, with accumulated demand responding at 85%. The trend for the real estate market in Hat Yai is expected to accelerate significantly in the next 3-4 years due to government transportation development plans, including the monorail system that will connect downtown Hat Yai with the airport, covering a distance of 12.54 kilometers and expected to be completed in 2021. The Hat Yai bypass project will also help alleviate traffic from the city center to surrounding areas better than currently, reducing congestion from vehicles that do not need to enter downtown Hat Yai, expected to be completed between 2021 and 2022. Additionally, the Hat Yai-Sadao motorway will support transportation for the ASEAN Economic Community, connecting goods transport between Thailand and Malaysia, with bidding expected in 2018 and construction taking about 3 years. There are also plans to develop Hat Yai International Airport, expected to be completed in 2030, to elevate it as 'the gateway to southern Thailand' and accommodate 10 million passengers annually.

Given the economic potential of Hat Yai, the largest city in the south and a hub for commerce, industry, and transportation, the establishment of the ASEAN Economic Community in early 2017 will further promote international trade and tourism in the area. This will stimulate job creation and growth in the real estate market from both local and foreign labor and investors, leading to an increase in land prices in Hat Yai. With such potential, Sansiri plans to launch new projects soon to meet this demand,” Mr. Somkiat concluded.
