Associate Professor Dr. Chalio Witooraporn, Deputy CEO of Eastern Polymer Group Public Company Limited (EPG), a leading global manufacturer and distributor of polymer and plastic products, announced that EPG has continuously developed innovations and technologies to meet the needs of all customer groups. Recently, EPG's subsidiary, Aeroflex Co., Ltd., which produces and distributes thermal/cold insulation under the AEROFLEX brand, has launched an innovative product called “AERO-ROOF Thermal Insulation Under Roof”. This product is made from a special synthetic rubber known as Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) coated with aluminum foil, designed for installation under roofs, ceilings, or walls to effectively prevent heat from entering buildings. AERO-ROOF is lightweight, easy to install, and is a thermosetting material, making it non-flammable and resistant to melting when exposed to heat or flames. Additionally, AERO-ROOF is odorless, does not produce dust or break easily, thus reducing allergy issues for users and not posing health risks to residents.

AERO-ROOF plans to expand its customer base both domestically and internationally. Initially, the focus will be on penetrating the domestic market by targeting private and public projects with significant investments. It is expected that the value of public sector projects will grow well. The company will emphasize marketing to project customers such as industrial factories, shopping malls, hospitals, warehouses, and general customers who prioritize safety and cost-effectiveness. The company has started to continuously introduce the product to contractors and architects to build confidence in its quality. Recently, the company participated in a booth at the Architect 2017 event, which received positive feedback for the product. For international market expansion, the company plans to target neighboring countries and others, currently conducting market studies.

Regarding EPG's overall operations in 2017/18, the company aims for revenue growth of over 10%, focusing on expanding both domestic and international markets. For the thermal/cold insulation business, AEROFLEX will continue to focus on marketing in Asia, particularly in Vietnam, Japan, and China. In the United States, the company is preparing to invest an additional 100 million baht in Hi-speed machinery. The domestic market will emphasize expanding the customer base among project customers by selling directly to major construction contractors and system contractors. It is expected that government support for large-scale project investments and private sector investments will positively impact the thermal/cold insulation business in the long term, Dr. Chalio stated.
