Metthier Transforms Housekeepers into Over 3,000 Specialized Experts to Manage Hospitals, Plans to Partner with 5 More Hospitals to Propel Thailand into a Global Wellness & Medical Hub
Metthier embraces the health megatrend, advancing Smart Facility Management in hospitals and Healthcare & Wellness centers by upskilling over 3,000 housekeepers into specialized cleanliness and safety experts according to international standards. The company has mobilized teams to manage more than 10 leading hospitals, including Siriraj Hospital and Thammasat University Medical Center, and is set to partner with 5 more hospitals to drive Thailand towards becoming a global Medical Hub.

Mr. Kayan Tantichatiwat, CEO of Metthier Co., Ltd., stated that healthcare management is a significant megatrend today as the world transitions into an aging society, particularly Thailand, which is fully an aging society. Good healthcare, combined with the adoption of innovation, is crucial for Thai people both now and in the future. Thailand boasts over 60 internationally accredited hospitals under JCI (Joint Commission International), ranking among the top in ASEAN, and is a Pure Golden Zone with a population that ranks in the top 5 globally for longevity. Metthier recognizes Thailand's potential to become a global medical hub and a desirable country for the elderly, aligning with the Longevity trend, and aims to elevate Smart Facility Management standards in healthcare facilities and wellness centers by developing the skills of over 3,000 housekeepers.

“We are committed to establishing strong building and facility management standards in Thailand by creating specialized personnel who can effectively work with technology. This is achieved through the establishment of Metthier Academy, a training institute offering comprehensive courses across various industries, including the management of Healthcare & Wellness centers, safety, and cleanliness. Our personnel must undergo specialized training according to international standards and gain practical experience in real healthcare settings to ensure readiness for work, alongside utilizing Smart Facility Management technology to comprehensively manage both indoor and outdoor areas 24/7,” Mr. Kayan said.

Metthier has designed training programs specifically for personnel managing healthcare facilities and wellness centers, covering workplace safety and basic first aid, knowledge of international medical standards such as HA (Hospital Accreditation), JCI (Joint Commission International), and AACI (American Accreditation Commission International), the use of personal protective equipment, cleaning principles in outpatient (OPD) and inpatient (IPD) wards according to disease types, waste disposal, and the use of cleaning products suitable for each area, including the segregation of infectious waste to prevent the spread of pathogens.

In addition to upskilling housekeepers into specialized experts, Metthier is also integrating technology to enhance systematic operations through the Smart Integrated Facility Management platform, which helps assess work efficiency, reduce operational time, and allocate personnel according to the area and skill set of each position, covering the work of housekeepers, building technicians, and security staff under the same operational standards (SOP).

All operational data is reported in real-time through the Mettlink and Mettriq Application, accessible from mobile devices, allowing staff to quickly and accurately identify and resolve issues. Additionally, AI-powered cleaning robots are employed to analyze, detect, and alert potential risks that may be overlooked, reducing personnel exposure to high-risk areas and effectively preventing Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI).

“In the past, Metthier has earned the trust of numerous healthcare facilities in Bangkok and its vicinity, deploying housekeepers and security personnel with expertise in technology and specialized operations to leading hospitals in the area, including Siriraj Hospital, Thammasat University Medical Center, Vibhavadi Hospital, and TPP Healthcare International Co., Ltd. (MedPark Hospital),” Mr. Kayan stated.
Metthier remains committed to enhancing Smart Facility Management services in Healthcare & Wellness centers to support Thailand's status as a Medical Hub. The company is advancing the Smart Integrated Facility Management platform to elevate Smart Facility Management in healthcare facilities and plans to partner with over 5 more leading hospitals nationwide to deliver internationally standardized building management services, creating the safest and most hygienic environment for users and medical personnel. Further details are expected to be revealed soon.
