ESTAR Partners with the Faculty of Architecture at Kasetsart University to Continue CSR in Education, Providing a Platform for Students to Design from Real Projects Under the Concept of 'SPACE THAT UNDERSTANDS YOU'
Mr. Pairoj Watthanaworodom, Chief Executive Officer of Eastern Star Real Estate Public Company Limited (ESTAR), in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture at Kasetsart University, has launched an academic cooperation project aimed at enhancing the learning and potential development of fourth-year students through real condominium design projects. The initiative seeks to bridge classroom knowledge with practical application while supporting the development of new professionals in architecture and design, preparing them for future careers.
This project is part of ESTAR's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, which aim to create educational opportunities and support the potential development of youth through experiential learning. It allows students to study real condominium project sites, analyze consumer behavior, and apply architectural knowledge to design challenges that meet the current needs of residents.
The collaboration operates under the concept of “SPACE THAT UNDERSTANDS YOU,” which emphasizes a Human-Centered Design approach. This encourages students to deeply explore the needs, behaviors, and lifestyles of residents before developing design concepts that effectively address real living conditions, including functionality, spatial flexibility, and the quality of life for residents.
In addition to learning about design, students gain experience working with real estate developers who have expertise in quality residential project development. They learn the entire process, from market needs assessment to product development and design that can be practically applied in business.
Mr. Pairoj Watthanaworodom stated, “ESTAR believes that good design must start with a true understanding of the user. A condominium is not just a living space; it reflects the lifestyle, needs, and identity of its residents. This project is an important opportunity for students to learn from real challenges, think critically, analyze, and propose design solutions that meet real-life needs under the concept of ‘SPACE THAT UNDERSTANDS YOU,’ truly understanding the residents. They will also gain experience working with the business sector, which will help prepare them to become professional designers in the future.”
“This project also reflects ESTAR's commitment to conducting business alongside creating value for society by supporting education, developing new talent, and transferring knowledge from the business sector to education, aiming to elevate the standards of design and real estate development in Thailand in the long term.”
ESTAR continues to promote activities that create value for society while developing quality condominium and housing projects, adhering to a design philosophy that prioritizes residents. This aims to create spaces that understand real-life usage and deliver improved quality of life to customers, while continuously developing the potential of the new generation through education and experiential learning.
