Origin collaborates with GC YOUturn to create a significant giving phenomenon through the campaign “ORIGIN GIVE X GC YOUturn CARE & SHARE,” transforming used plastic bottles into reflective safety vests that help dissipate heat and enhance safety during work. The pilot program delivers 100 vests to the cleaning and environmental staff of Bangkok's 50 districts, reinforcing the concept of Circular Economy by creating new value from waste while supporting the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration's waste return policy.

“From used plastic bottles... to wearable safety” The Circular Economy concept transforms waste into new value, as Origin Property Public Company Limited (ORI) advances its commitment to social and environmental responsibility through the campaign “ORIGIN GIVE X GC YOUturn: CARE & SHARE” under the concept “This shirt... made from the water bottles you discarded to care for those who clean for you.” This initiative is in collaboration with GC YOUturn, a comprehensive used plastic management platform by PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC).

Executives from Origin Property Group and GC met with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chatchart Sitthiphan, the Governor of Bangkok, at the Rattanakosin Room, Bangkok City Hall, to present 100 shiny upcycled vests made from used drinking water bottles, model year 2026. The delegation included Mr. Apisit Sunthornchukiat, CEO of Origin Vertical Corporation (5th from left), Mr. Kritsana Techasamma, CEO of Britannia Public Company Limited (4th from left), Ms. Suphin Meechuchip, CEO of Primo Service Solution Public Company Limited (3rd from left), along with Mr. Chayapath Danamphai, Acting Manager of Marketing Management for the Industrial Platform Customer Group (far left), and representatives from PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (far right) who honored the event.

ORI drives the Circular Economy concept

Proper waste sorting not only helps reduce environmental burdens but also serves as the first step in creating added value from waste materials. This project collects used clear plastic bottles (PET) and uses the proceeds from their sale to fund the production, design, and tailoring of shiny upcycled vests, manufactured with modern innovations meeting international standards such as EN ISO 20471. Each vest is made from the fibers of 11 used 600 ml PET bottles, resulting in high-quality, reflective, and breathable shirts designed for practical use in work areas, enhancing safety and improving the quality of life for the cleaning staff across Bangkok's 50 districts. The initial production and delivery pilot consists of 100 vests, providing encouragement to the city's “heroes” who maintain cleanliness.

Transforming used clear plastic bottles into value-added products, the shiny upcycled vests from the 2026 model feature outstanding qualities, produced according to international standards, ensuring high-quality fibers, good ventilation, and durability for heavy use. Additionally, the vests are reflective, making them visible in dark or low-light conditions, ensuring maximum safety for employees during their work. The design emphasizes practical use, with added zippered pockets for carrying personal items, allowing employees to work efficiently. This campaign is not just about providing clothing; it is about offering safety through clear reflective strips, comfort through breathable fabric in hot weather, and expressing gratitude to the cleaning staff and gardeners of Bangkok for their efforts in ensuring the safety of the city's residents.

GC YOUturn joins to “turn” the value of used plastic bottles

GC, a leader in the chemical business focused on sustainable operations, seriously applies the Circular Economy concept through the “GC YOUturn Comprehensive Used Plastic Management Platform,” promoting participation from both public and private sectors, as well as communities and society, in sorting used plastics from the source for proper management. GC YOUturn is the only platform in Thailand managing used plastics in a Closed Loop system, overseeing sorting, collection, recycling, and upcycling to return them as raw materials and new products, ensuring that the plastics everyone intends to dispose of can be continuously recycled. Currently, GC YOUturn has over 400 drop-off points for used plastic bottles. Through this collaboration, GC YOUturn will collect used plastics from 5 ORIGIN projects, ranging from villages to residential condominiums, including 5 drop-off points located in Bangkok, to be processed back into shiny vests for the cleaning staff of Bangkok.

Supporting “No Mixing” for a livable and sustainable city

This campaign is part of a larger goal to drive the Circular Economy, with Origin Property emphasizing the importance of returning waste to the proper management system. Currently, the Origin Group supports the “This House Does Not Mix” project of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration continuously, reinforcing its role as a leader in real estate that cares for the environment and society while creating a sustainable waste management model from the hands of residents and employees of the Origin Group to national recycling efforts, collectively driving the transformation towards a livable and sustainable city in the long term.

The campaign ORIGIN GIVE X GC YOUturn: CARE & SHARE represents a strategic ESG collaboration between Origin Property Public Company Limited, including Origin Vertical Corporation, Britannia Public Company Limited, and Primo Service Solution Public Company Limited, in partnership with PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited through the GC YOUturn platform, which is a member of the Bangkok Wonderful Partners supporting operations under the policy of returning waste to the Bangkok system. The goal is to promote public awareness of sustainability in environmental dimensions through the Circular Economy principles, emphasizing waste sorting from the source for proper management and creating added value from leftover materials. The Origin Group has joined the campaign ORIGIN GIVE X GC YOUturn: CARE & SHARE with a total of 29 participating housing and condominium projects. Additionally, Origin Property and PTT Global Chemical plan to conduct environmental activities continuously throughout 2026 to drive society towards tangible sustainability.

Behind the cleanliness and livability of Bangkok, there are many “little people” taking care of it. The campaign ORIGIN GIVE X GC YOUturn: CARE & SHARE transforms plastic waste into innovative high-quality reflective vests, serving as another source of encouragement for the cleaning staff and gardeners of Bangkok across all 50 districts, enabling them to work safely and improve their quality of life.
