WHAUP Reinforces Its Leadership in Renewable Energy Solutions by Partnering with RX Products to Install Solar Power for a Green Factory
WHA Utilities and Power Public Company Limited (WHAUP) has signed a power purchase agreement with RX Products Co., Ltd., a comprehensive cosmetics manufacturer and brand creator, to install a 1 MWp Solar Rooftop system at its factories in Nonthaburi and Rayong, covering over 6,000 square meters. The installation is expected to be completed and operational by August 2026, contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions in line with the Net Zero target for 2050.
Mr. Akharin Prateungsit, CEO and Acting Chief Operating Officer of WHAUP, stated that this contract signing marks another success for WHAUP in providing renewable energy solutions to clients both within and outside the WHA Group's industrial estates, addressing the business sector's demand for clean energy.
The project involves installing a total of 1 MWp Solar Rooftop on the rooftops of the Nonthaburi factory (3,000 square meters) and the Rayong factory (3,000 square meters), which will enhance energy efficiency, reduce electricity costs, and minimize long-term environmental impacts.

RX Products Moves Towards a Full Green Factory
Mr. Choti Jangjang, CEO of RX Products Co., Ltd., revealed that as a leader in the cosmetics manufacturing industry, certified to international quality standards under a TOP 5 factory in Thailand with over 46 years of experience, the company covers research and development (R&D), production, and packaging in a clean room system according to GMP standards, providing comprehensive branding and marketing consulting to clients.
The company aims to be a green organization that prioritizes clean energy use, which will enhance production efficiency and energy utilization. Given that the company operates in the energy-intensive manufacturing sector, it recognizes the importance of clean energy, leading to the installation of Solar Rooftops at both the Nonthaburi and Rayong branches to plan for energy cost reduction and minimize environmental impacts.
Annual Energy Cost Savings of Over 1.9 Million Baht and Carbon Reduction of Over 15,400 Tons in 30 Years for Two Branches
This collaboration with WHAUP addresses the company's energy cost reduction needs, with the Nonthaburi branch expected to save over 950,000 Baht annually, while also reducing carbon dioxide emissions by an average of 280 tons per year, or over 8,500 tons in 30 years. Meanwhile, the Rayong branch anticipates energy cost savings of over 970,000 Baht annually and a reduction in carbon dioxide emissions of an average of 230 tons per year, or over 6,900 tons in 30 years. These energy cost reductions align with the company's commitment to environmental conservation, combating global warming, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, reflecting strong growth potential and a commitment to sustainable business practices.
“The installation of Solar Rooftops at RX Products not only helps reduce energy costs across both branches by over 1.9 million Baht annually but also reduces carbon emissions by over 15,400 tons in 30 years, reinforcing our commitment to environmental conservation and creating a sustainable future,” he stated.
