Asset World Corporation (AWC), a Thai real estate developer focused on comprehensive lifestyle solutions, supports Thailand in becoming a sustainable global tourism destination by launching “Skyflyers: Wings of Garudapterus” at Asiatique The Riverfront Destination, welcoming families, travelers, and visitors from around the world to step into a world of fun and imagination that brings prehistoric stories to life through a contemporary perspective. Standing as tall as a 36-story building, Skyflyers is the tallest giant swing ride in Asia-Pacific and the first tourist attraction in Thailand to present a story inspired by “Garudapterus”, a new genus of pterosaur, marking the first discovery of pterosaurs in Thailand and Southeast Asia. Skyflyers is designed as an exploration pathway with an Edutainment concept that seamlessly integrates scientific storytelling, experiential learning, and an immersive environment.

Skyflyers is inspired by “Garudapterus”, a new genus of pterosaur discovered by Thai paleontologists earlier this year, meaning “wings of Garuda”, with Garuda symbolizing power and bravery. This significant fossil discovery marks the beginning of creating a new experience, with various areas of Skyflyers reflecting the prehistoric atmosphere, such as steep rock cliffs, ancient soil layers, dinosaur nesting areas, and lush oasis-like forests, along with fossil footprints that tell a captivating journey, sparking interest among audiences of all ages. The design has been academically supported through collaboration with the Paleontological Research and Education Center at Mahasarakham University, the institution behind this significant discovery. Additionally, the connection to Garuda adds a cultural dimension to this experience through a 360-degree panoramic view of the sky, reflecting the beauty of Thailand and the importance of this scientific advancement.

Begin your journey at the Ticket Lounge, which simulates the atmosphere of a paleontological excavation site, featuring surfaces reminiscent of ancient soil layers and a fossil exhibition in collaboration with the Department of Mineral Resources, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. Then, step into the interactive experience zone that opens children's imaginations to the role of young paleontologists through the “Egg Ticket”, which, when scanned, reveals a baby Garudapterus hatching before appearing on the screen. Children can name their little creature ready to soar into adventures with them. These elements are part of a story that helps children unlock basic knowledge about evolution, reading fossil traces, and expanding scientific imagination through enjoyable play-based learning.
The pathway gradually ascends to a height with stairs resembling a mine shaft, leading to the Observatory Platform, a viewpoint and photo spot that conveys the beauty of nature alongside imagination from the prehistoric world. Before reaching Skyflyers, visitors will enter the Boarding Zone, resembling a grand nesting area for Garudapterus, surrounded by sandy rock textures, shady trees, and rocky cliffs. This area welcomes everyone with seating and food and beverage services themed accordingly, allowing visitors to enjoy whether they are partaking in the thrilling experience or simply wishing to soak in the special atmosphere of this zone.
