AWC Supports 'Travel Well, Get a Refund' to Boost Thai Tourism, Offering Tax Deductions Up to 30,000 Baht and Engaging Luxury Hotels Nationwide
At the end of 2025, Thailand's tourism sector is receiving significant support from the government through the 'Travel Well, Get a Refund' initiative, aimed at stimulating purchasing power and promoting domestic travel. Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC) has announced its full support for this policy by opening over 25 hotels and restaurants across the country, allowing Thai citizens to relax and genuinely benefit from tax deductions.
The main benefit of the program is a tax deduction of up to 30,000 Baht for individuals using hotel rooms, dining, or other services within AWC's hotels from October 29 to December 15, 2025, provided that the booking is made directly with the hotel as per government conditions. Additionally, businesses can participate, as corporate entities can deduct 1.5 times the expenses incurred from training, seminars, or meetings held at the hotels according to the Revenue Department's regulations.

AWC is one of the major operators with a diverse portfolio of hotels and resorts across the country, including in Bangkok, Hua Hin, Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Phuket, Koh Samui, and Krabi, as well as iconic dining establishments in the Asiatique The Riverfront destination, a significant landmark in the capital attracting over 50 million visitors annually.
In Bangkok, more than 10 leading hotels are participating, including The Okura Prestige Bangkok, The Athenee Hotel Bangkok, Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen's Park, Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok, and Le Méridien Bangkok, all of which are luxury and upper upscale hotels with an average occupancy rate exceeding 80% over the past year.

Key tourist cities such as Hua Hin, Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Phuket, Koh Samui, and Krabi are also ready to welcome visitors with a network of globally recognized hotel brands in AWC's portfolio, including Banyan Tree, Marriott, Meliá, InterContinental, and Sheraton, totaling over 15 locations nationwide, covering all major tourist regions in Thailand.
Participating restaurants in the 'Travel Well, Get a Refund' program include both hotel and non-hotel venues, particularly at Asiatique The Riverfront, such as Sirimahannop, The Crystal Grill House, The Siam Tea Room, and Asiatique Ancient Tea House, which are popular among both Thai and international tourists. Additionally, there are renowned restaurants in the group like Okura Krua, Nobu Bangkok, and Fossil & Flame Restaurant.
AWC believes that participating in this program not only helps boost revenue for the hotel sector but also distributes income to small operators in the tourism chain, such as local restaurants, car rental drivers, and related service businesses. It is expected that the utilization of this program will generate over 10 billion Baht in circulation within the economy during the 45 days of the initiative.
From an economic analyst's perspective, the involvement of a major player like AWC is a crucial driver for the recovery of the premium hotel market, which has seen an average growth rate of 12% per year post-COVID, and is a market where international tourists, particularly from China and the Middle East, are increasingly returning.

Under the concept of 'Sustainable Growth of Thai Tourism,' AWC continues to develop real estate for tourism and services. Currently, it has a portfolio of over 6,000 hotel and resort rooms in Thailand, with a goal to expand to 10,000 rooms by 2027, focusing on the 'Integrated Lifestyle Destination' strategy to create a comprehensive relaxation experience.

Ultimately, AWC's support for the 'Travel Well, Get a Refund' initiative not only helps energize the recovery of Thai tourism but also reflects the role of the Thai private sector in driving the economy alongside government policies, creating a balance between business returns and grassroots economic development, paving the way for Thailand's sustainable recovery in 2025.
