Stiebel Eltron reveals that the water filter market in Thailand remains bright, with a market value expected to exceed 20 billion baht by 2030, driven by health care trends and urbanization. Thai consumers prioritize filtering efficiency, value for money, and ease of use when purchasing water filters. To stimulate sales, the company is launching special promotions and the campaign 'Win a Free Trip to Japan with STIEBEL ELTRON,' offering customers a chance to win round-trip tickets to Japan and products from the brand, with a total value of over 160,000 baht for those who purchase participating water filter products and register through the e-Warranty system from now until December 31, 2025, aiming for a 30% sales increase in 2025.

Mr. Roland Hein, Managing Director of Stiebel Eltron Asia Co., Ltd., stated that the water filter market in Thailand continues to grow at an average rate of 10.06% per year and is expected to reach a value of 20 billion baht by 2030 (according to a report from TechSci Research). This growth is significantly driven by health megatrends that emerged before the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as concerns about microplastic contamination and hard-to-degrade PFAS chemicals in water sources, leading consumers to install both drinking water and utility water filters to ensure the quality and safety of water for consumption and use in homes, shops, restaurants, cafes, and offices.

“This trend aligns with the company's data, which shows that consumers are increasingly installing water filters, focusing on filtering efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and ease of installation and maintenance. Among drinking water filter products, the best-selling model is the FOUNTAIN 7S countertop water filter, known for its compact size, easy installation, and no electricity requirement, featuring a 7-stage Ultrafiltration (UF) system in a single filter. Another popular product is the SNOW PRO under-sink water filter with Reverse Osmosis (RO) filtration, which effectively removes contaminants, chlorine, heavy metals, bacteria, and viruses, allowing users to easily replace the filter themselves, equipped with a TDS display, space-saving design, and no need for a water storage tank. For utility water filters, the Stiebel House PS-2 is the most popular model, designed to filter out sediment and large particles from incoming water, ensuring clean water quality for household use. Stiebel Eltron aims to be the leader in the clean water market in Thailand and the region, reinforcing its position as a comprehensive water solution brand that cares about the lifestyles and behaviors of consumers across households, businesses, real estate projects, and smart cities, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for people and society in the long term,” Mr. Roland concluded.

Ms. Wijitra Kawithanapokin, Sales and Marketing Director of Stiebel Eltron Asia Co., Ltd., added, “In addition to health megatrends, social factors are another driving force behind the growth of the water filter market in Thailand. Urban expansion has led consumers to prioritize convenience and quality of life. Moreover, the transition to urban society has prompted many places to enhance water quality to build consumer confidence, reflecting environmental values such as reducing single-use plastics and aligning with long-term cost-effective lifestyles, creating opportunities for the Thai water filter market to become a key player in the region in the future.”

To respond to the market growth trend and stimulate consumer purchasing power in the final quarter of the year, Stiebel Eltron has launched special promotions for customers purchasing water filter products. First, receive a 2,000 baht discount on the FOUNTAIN 7S water filter and a 1,000 baht discount on the SNOW PRO water filter. Second, join the 'Win a Free Trip to Japan with STIEBEL ELTRON' activity for a chance to win a grand prize of round-trip tickets for two to Hokkaido, Japan, along with 19 prizes of water heaters and water filters from Stiebel Eltron, totaling over 160,000 baht, when purchasing participating water filter models and registering for e-Warranty, one machine per entry, from now until December 31, 2025. This campaign is expected to boost the company's water filter sales by approximately 30%.
