"Nippon Paint" Collaborates with "TAT" and "Bangkok" to Bring Colorful Energy Through Artworks, Revitalizing Life and Tourism in the "Pahurat-Klong Ong Ang" Area During the "Amazing Thailand Grand Diwali Festival 2025"
"Nippon Paint" has partnered with "TAT" and "Bangkok" to support the largest Diwali festival outside India, the "Amazing Thailand Grand Diwali Festival 2025." They are contributing innovative building paints and high-quality traffic colors to create artworks that reflect the cultural heritage of the Indian community on walls and streets (Art Wall and Art Street) across 8 landmarks in the "Pahurat-Klong Ong Ang" area. This initiative aims to sustainably enhance the vibrancy of the city, beautifying the community and improving the quality of life for its residents while boosting tourism in this historic part of Bangkok.

Mr. Watchara Sirithichai, General Manager of Nippon Paint Decorative Coating (Thailand) Co., Ltd., stated that Nippon Paint, as the leading manufacturer and distributor of innovative and sustainable paints in Asia and the fourth in the world, is proud to be part of the "Amazing Thailand Grand Diwali Festival 2025" by providing high-quality building paints and traffic colors to create artworks on walls and streets (Art Wall and Art Street) at 8 landmark locations in the Pahurat-Klong Ong Ang area. This collaboration aligns with the Diwali festival and aims to restore the area's beauty in the long term.

For the "Amazing Thailand Grand Diwali Festival 2025," organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in collaboration with Bangkok, the event will take place from October 16 to 31, 2025, in the Klong Ong Ang-Pahurat area, also known as "Little India." The festival aims to promote Diwali, the "Festival of Lights," a long-standing Indian tradition, as an important event to enhance tourism in the country, fostering relationships between cultures and establishing this area as Thailand's first Thai-Indian cultural landmark.

Nippon Paint is therefore collaborating with the government in a significant part of the festival by providing paint to beautify the Klong Ong Ang-Pahurat area, creating a total of 8 art landmarks. This includes 4 Art Wall locations: the alleyway through Klong Ong Ang, the wall of India Emporium, the building next to India Emporium, and the Electricity Authority building near Wat Liab. The 4 Art Street locations include the road connecting Klong Ong Ang, the crosswalk in front of the Sikh temple, the alley next to India Emporium, and the guiding path in the Pahurat market. The artworks will reflect the lifestyle of the Pahurat community, such as textile trading, the fabric market, the Sikh temple, the Diwali festival, and patterns of Indian cultural heritage, including floral designs, geometric patterns, Indian fabric designs, and Rangoli patterns.

Nippon Paint is providing a total of 4 types of innovative paints for this event, including ultra-premium building paints for the Art Wall, such as Nippon Paint Quick Sealer, a versatile primer that enhances adhesion and prevents peeling, Nippon Paint Weatherbond, an ultra-premium exterior paint that lasts over 15 years, and Nippon Paint Ultra Guard, a protective clear film that ensures the paint on buildings lasts over 20 years without peeling. For the street art, the brand is supplying Nippon Paint Traffic Paint, a high-quality traffic paint known for its clarity and durability for artists to use. All paints are selected as the highest quality innovations that Nippon Paint aims to provide for this event, recognizing that public beauty should sustainably coexist with people, communities, society, and cities.

"The initiative to support paint for creating artworks that enliven the Pahurat-Klong Ong Ang community aligns with Nippon Paint's philosophy and vision that believes in the 'power of color' to enhance the quality of life for individuals, communities, and even larger cities. The colors on building walls are crucial in creating beautiful cities, ensuring safety through improved environments, making cities livable for residents, and attracting outsiders or tourists to visit," said Mr. Watchara.
Nippon Paint's corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects in every country adhere to the concept of "Colouring Lives," which is the brand's global philosophy emphasizing that CSR projects must create a positive impact that is 'tangible' for communities and connect with one of three pillars: Education, Empowerment, and Engagement. The color initiative that beautifies the Pahurat-Klong Ong Ang area and the "Amazing Thailand Grand Diwali Festival 2025" represents a brand-community engagement by enhancing the community's well-being and creating opportunities for this historic trading area to elevate its tourism economy as an additional income source for the community.

For tourists interested in viewing the vibrant artworks in the Pahurat-Klong Ong Ang area, enhanced by the quality of Nippon Paint's innovative colors, you can visit and take photos with the new landmarks of Little India at all 8 locations starting today. During the "Amazing Thailand Grand Diwali Festival 2025" from October 16 to 31, 2025, the Pahurat-Klong Ong Ang area will be adorned with stunning lights, welcoming new light into life while enhancing success and fortune according to Indian beliefs.
