Thailand Pavilion Leaves a Lasting Impression at EXPO 2025 OSAKA KANSAI JAPAN
The Ministry of Public Health, through the Department of Health Service Support, organized the THAILAND PAVILION APPRECIATION CEREMONY and the closing ceremony of the Thailand Pavilion, which was a tremendous success. Over 2 million visitors, both Japanese and international, flocked to admire the beauty of the Thailand Pavilion, showcasing various aspects of Thai culture and the potential of Thailand's healthcare system as a destination for foreigners. This was presented under the main theme "Designing Future Society for Our Lives," promoting the use of technology and innovations in health and medicine for a happy and healthy life, making it a global destination. The pavilion highlighted stories about Thailand, from nature, wisdom, arts and culture, to innovations and the readiness of the healthcare system, captivating audiences over the six months that Thailand showcased its healthcare potential. Visitors expressed their admiration and desire to experience the charm of Thailand again.

During the THAILAND PAVILION APPRECIATION CEREMONY and the closing ceremony, we were honored by the presence of Dr. Monthien Kanasawat, Director-General of the Department of Disease Control, along with Dr. Natthapong Wongwiwat, Director-General of the Department of Medical Services, who presided over the ceremony. They were welcomed by Dr. Krongkrach Limsommut, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Health Service Support, and staff from the pavilion, who presented a performance titled "Phumiphan Thai: From the Wisdom of Thailand to the World," consisting of Act 1: Land of Paradise, Act 2: The Miracle of Good Fortune, Act 3: Towards a Prosperous World, and a special video titled "The Path of Pride," recounting the stories of the past 182 days and the proud achievements of the Thailand Pavilion.

Dr. Monthien Kanasawat, Director-General of the Department of Disease Control, stated:
"Under the concept of the event, we aim for people to be healthy and happy, which aligns with the government's policy to promote Thailand as a center for medical and wellness services, allowing foreigners to see Thailand's potential as a Medical Hub. Our participation in this exhibition has achieved its goal, with over 2 million visitors to the Thailand Pavilion. We have showcased Thai culture in various aspects, including Thai architecture, designed to convey the essence of Thailand through modern construction. The Thailand Pavilion stands out with Thai massage and Thai herbs; we brought skilled massage therapists from Thailand to allow visitors to experience massage, which was very popular. This is crucial as it promotes the wisdom of our ancestors to foreign and Japanese audiences, demonstrating the advancement of Thai medicine, showing that we are on par with any nation. Thai cultural performances, such as Khon, Thai dance, and traditional games, captivated international audiences. Furthermore, Thai cuisine was showcased with healthy menu options, local medicinal foods, and future foods, achieving sales that exceeded our targets. Additionally, the pavilion's mascot, "Nong Phum Jai," ranked as an excellent mascot. I believe all of this beautifully promotes Thailand to the world through these values with pride. This occasion also facilitated business matching, providing a platform for Thai and international entrepreneurs to negotiate business opportunities."

This is considered a success and a source of pride for Thailand, leaving a beautiful impression with the Thailand Pavilion at EXPO 2025 Osaka Kansai Japan.
