Nothing compares to an adventure in nature, but outdoor enthusiasts know that finding new places and preparing for trips can be quite challenging. Whether it's searching for destinations, choosing accommodations, or planning activities, it often feels overwhelming, leading many to return to familiar spots.

Travel planning is about to get easier with the launch of Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors, a new digital platform designed to help travelers easily find and book their next trip based on desired destinations and favorite activities. Travelers can quickly search for over 450 Homes & Villas properties, more than 50,000 options, as well as curated tours and activities, making it easier to access popular outdoor activities such as skiing and snowboarding, hiking and luxury camping, biking, snorkeling and scuba diving, surfing, fishing, and kayaking. Whether skiing in Switzerland with W Verbier, paddleboarding in Banff with Moxy, or diving in Belize near Alaia Belize, Autograph Collection, discovering outdoor activity destinations has never been easier.

In addition to launching this platform, Marriott has unveiled its latest brand, Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy™. This portfolio features carefully selected accommodations designed specifically for outdoor experience-focused travel in stunning destinations, whether it's cabins in the woods near national parks or boutique hotels perched on cliffs. Each property in the Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy provides travelers with unique access to nature, along with essential amenities that guests expect, such as comfortable beds, hot water, and private bathrooms.

To encourage travelers to experience nature more, Marriott Bonvoy has partnered with Dylan Efron, a well-known television personality, filmmaker, and adventurer, to launch the Drop Pin Challenge, an outdoor treasure hunt at 20 top outdoor attractions across the United States and Canada, with a chance to earn over 10 million Marriott Bonvoy points. The brand's unique map pin has been transformed into a symbol of exploration in the real world. Travelers can visit MarriottBonvoyOutdoors.com to read the rules, find locations, set off, and scan codes at each pin to win rewards. The first 50 participants to scan at each location will receive 10,000 Marriott Bonvoy points. This campaign is led by Dylan Efron, who embodies the energy, enthusiasm, and passion for nature that is at the heart of the Outdoors platform, starting with the first pin placed at Big Bear Lake, California.

“We created Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors to assist travelers, whether it's conquering mountain trails, finding the best surfing spots, or simply seeking a peaceful corner under the stars,” said Peggy Roe, Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer of Marriott International. “The best travel experiences reflect who we are and what we love, allowing us to reconnect with ourselves and our loved ones in the most inspiring places. We’re not just providing accommodations; we’re opening doors to inspiring experiences that connect everything and create lasting memories with the Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy or curated activities in Marriott Bonvoy Moments, including fun events like the Drop Pin Challenge with Dylan Efron.”

The first two brands launched in the Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy are Postcard Cabins and Trailborn Hotels, pioneers in defining the outdoor experience for travelers. Postcard Cabins offers the perfect getaway to escape daily life and reconnect with nature, featuring over 1,200 modern-designed cabins spread across 29 destinations in the United States, each within a two-hour drive from major cities. Guests will enjoy Scandinavian-inspired decor, private outdoor fireplaces, as well as hiking trails, lakes, and starry skies. Meanwhile, Trailborn Hotels elevates outdoor adventures into boutique-style relaxation, with premium hotels in the Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy located in bucket-list destinations such as the Blue Ridge Mountains, Grand Canyon, and the famous surf town of Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. Every stay at Trailborn combines architecture with the local atmosphere, complemented by carefully curated food and beverages, unique cultural activities, and access to breathtaking American landscapes just steps away, along with guided trips and thoughtfully designed travel guides.

Additionally, Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors has partnered with Outside Interactive to launch a program that offers the ultimate experiences from Marriott Bonvoy Moments, focusing on immersing guests in nature, adventure, and storytelling. Initial Moments include exclusive adventures in Hawaii, where guests can hike along the stunning Na Pali Coast of Kauai and kayak in Hanalei Bay. Other Moments include kayaking in the Maldives, snorkeling in Belize, and more. This November, look forward to the highly anticipated “1-point drop Moment” campaign with Dylan Efron, along with the continuous launch of new outdoor activities Moments throughout 2025.

Marriott Bonvoy Outdoors will make travel about more than just destinations; it’s about the experiences you have when you arrive. From the launch of Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy and Moments to the excitement of the Drop Pin Challenge with Dylan Efron, Marriott Bonvoy invites travelers to view the world as a playground for adventure and transform every journey into a story worth sharing.
