Selected startups will receive up to $1 million in AWS credits, along with business and technical guidance from experts, as well as access to all of AWS's AI technologies to support startups in developing and scaling transformative Generative AI technologies.

Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN), has announced the selection of 40 startups from around the world to participate in the third cohort of the AWS Generative AI Accelerator (GAIA), an 8-week program designed to support early-stage startups developing Generative AI technologies.

The selected companies will receive AWS credits worth up to $1 million, along with expert consulting in both business and technical areas, and access to AWS's Generative AI technologies to accelerate their business growth. Additionally, the program aims to enhance organizational capabilities in various areas, including business and technology understanding, optimizing machine learning systems, tailoring systems for specific applications, and developing marketing strategies for sustainable growth.

Typhoon, an open AI project developed by the research and development team of SCB 10X, part of SCBX Group, has been selected as the sole representative from Southeast Asia to join the AWS Generative AI Accelerator alongside global startup teams. Typhoon aims to develop AI technology for practical use by Thais, integrating deep understanding of Thai language and culture with practical innovations to create an AI system that truly meets the needs of users and the context in Thailand.

The selected companies for the 2025 program reflect AWS's vision of building a global collaborative network, with selected companies from North America, Asia-Pacific and Japan, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. The program will include industry-specific consulting and support for companies developing foundational models, infrastructure providers, and AI tool innovators.
