SALA Hospitality Group's 'Sala Bang Pa-In' Wins Outstanding Architecture Award 2024 from the Association of Siamese Architects, Reflecting Excellence in Design and Cultural Integration
'Sala Bang Pa-In', a boutique resort under the SALA Hospitality Group, has won the Silver Medal Award for Outstanding Architecture 2024 in the Hotel and Hospitality / Wellness Architecture category from the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage. This prestigious annual event honors and promotes valuable architectural works in Thailand, making them known to the public. Receiving this award is another source of pride for Thais in creating meaningful designs that beautifully blend contemporary architecture with local charm.

'Sala Bang Pa-In' is the only boutique resort located on a private island in the Chao Phraya River, in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, near the historic Bang Pa-In Palace, which has a history spanning over 390 years. The resort features a total of 24 rooms, including pool villas, designed under the concept of 'Historical Getaway', integrating the rural landscape of Ayutthaya with contemporary design, crafted from various local materials such as sheer fabrics, bricks, natural wood, and woven crafts. This creates a simple, relaxing, and friendly atmosphere. The building is designed to harmonize with the surrounding houses, surrounded by lush greenery and well-preserved large rain trees, while also providing modern comfort and functionality. Guests are welcomed in a spacious lobby adorned with bright red accents, beneath a raised wooden structure, complemented by a significant landmark that has become the symbol of this boutique resort: a striking red bridge spanning the river, which stands out yet blends seamlessly with the village context, serving to connect the two banks and symbolizing the link between modern architecture and the local riverside community.

Inside the resort, the design is open and airy, allowing natural views from every angle, especially in the Sala Signature Villa One, which is a highlight room with spacious living areas and a full river view balcony, enabling guests to immerse themselves in the scenery of the Chao Phraya River and the rural atmosphere of Ayutthaya. Additionally, visitors, whether families, groups of friends, or couples, can enjoy various outdoor activities such as boat tours to Bang Pa-In Palace, exploring historical attractions around the island, cycling along over 50 kilometers of routes around Ayutthaya, or relaxing in the outdoor swimming pool that stretches 30 meters along the river, before ending the day with a romantic cocktail while watching the sunset.

'Sala Bang Pa-In' is the result of collaboration with Khun Thawit Wattanaphi, a renowned designer from the Department of Architecture, who has previously created outstanding works for Six Senses Samui and SALA Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort. Sala Bang Pa-In is also the third hotel in the SALA Hospitality Group to receive a design award, which not only reflects overall business success but also reinforces the vision of operating a luxury accommodation with a unique identity, delivering exceptional experiences amidst Thailand's beautiful tourist destinations.
