Mr. Anantakorn Amorvathee, President of the Home Builder Association (HBA), revealed that this year's event 'Home Building and Materials EXPO 2025' under the concept 'Build, Live Well' is more special than ever, with a strong focus on 'building' with professional builders, 'living' in homes that meet personal styles, and 'well' in terms of standards, confidence, and after-sales service. This ensures that consumers planning to build homes can access comprehensive services all in one place.

Throughout the five days of the event from September 10 to 14, 2025, at Impact Muang Thong Thani, Hall 6, there will be exciting offers and special discounts from over 30 leading home builders, along with numerous material companies showcasing innovative products and top financial institutions participating this year.

Visitors to the event will encounter many highlights, including exclusive loans and interest rates available only at this event. Additionally, there will be a diverse range of over 1,000 house designs available at every price level, along with special discounts, giveaways, and prizes from the association totaling over 400,000 baht, including innovative materials and promotions from participating home builders.

Mr. Anantakorn stated that this event not only aims to boost sales but also stimulates the economy across various sectors, including home builders, construction material companies, architects, engineers, and labor. The association is committed to building consumer confidence and elevating the home building industry to greater recognition, with a clear goal of restoring confidence in the real estate market and encouraging home building decisions towards the end of the year. It is expected that more than 11,000 people will attend the event, generating total sales of 4.5 billion baht, with 3.5 billion baht from sales during the event and an additional 1 billion baht from post-event sales.

Amidst economic and political challenges, particularly regarding labor, the association has recommended that member home builders adapt to new challenges by incorporating technology and Project Management systems to enhance operational efficiency. They are also accelerating training for craftsmen and contractors in their networks to ensure uniform standards, alongside developing construction manuals to maximize efficiency and minimize errors.

In the second quarter of 2025, the overall home building market has decreased by 10% due to economic factors. However, it is anticipated that the market will recover in the third and fourth quarters, driven by growth in provincial markets, which account for 80%, while Bangkok and its vicinity account for 20%.

“The proposal by the Joint Private Sector Committee of three institutions to reduce land and building taxes by 50% may not directly impact the home building market since it concerns the customers' land, but it is expected to stimulate home building decisions to some extent. The association is confident that this event will help drive the market to continue growing,” Mr. Anantakorn concluded.
