CP LAND Public Company Limited, one of Thailand's leading real estate developers, has teamed up with the CP Group and True to launch the "Safety First - Safe Schools" initiative at Chiaravanont Uthit School in Wang Nam Khiao District, Nakhon Ratchasima. This school, which serves over 480 students and 40 teachers, totaling 520 individuals, aims to enhance knowledge, skills, and fire safety equipment after discovering that many rural schools lack fire response plans and adequate equipment.

Before the project, Chiaravanont Uthit School had only three old fire extinguishers that had never been inspected for standards, which were insufficient for actual use. Additionally, the school had never conducted fire drills or training, despite previous incidents of nearby schools experiencing total fire damage. These events underscore the urgent need to enhance fire prevention measures in educational institutions.
Under this project, CP LAND and its partners provided 20 new fire extinguishers along with a complete set of safety equipment, conducted basic fire training, organized school-wide fire evacuation drills, and facilitated learning activities through fuel classification games with rewards for students. Support also came from various CP Group entities, including TRUE, Plook Panya, the Charoen Pokphand Foundation for Rural Development, Lotus Foundation, CP AXTRA, CPRAM, CP MEIJI, and the Charoen Pokphand Group, as well as local agencies such as the Wang Mee Subdistrict Administrative Organization and the Yub E-Pu Health Promotion Hospital.
This event was honored by Mr. Narong Chiaravanont, Senior Vice President of the CP Group, who presided over the handover to Chiaravanont Uthit School, alongside Mr. Kirati Sattasook, CEO of CP LAND, and other executives from CP LAND, including Mr. Kanthir Tirawiphas, Ms. Sasina Allmand, and Mr. Apichart Sinthuma. The ceremony also featured executives from various CP Group businesses, such as:

Mr. Wichian Jeungwiroj, Chairman of the CP Group's 100th Anniversary Project Working Group
Mr. Yingyai Na-Wiang, Assistant Managing Director of Production, CP Group Packaging Business
Ms. Rommuk Piyachand, Assistant Director of Corporate Social Responsibility, True Corporation Public Company Limited
Mr. Narong Chiaravanont, Senior Vice President of the CP Group, stated that prevention is worth more than cure. This collaboration reflects the strength from all sectors to elevate safety standards in rural schools and create a solid foundation for communities to grow robustly. When schools are safe, children can learn to their full potential, and parents will feel confident sending their children to school. This is the first step we hope will serve as a model for other schools in different areas to adopt, continuously enhancing their readiness for emergencies sustainably.

Mr. Kirati Sattasook, CEO of CP LAND, added that quality for every life starts with safety. For CP LAND, this means not only building quality homes or condos but also creating a safe environment for everyone to live and grow confidently. This project is a proactive step to protect the future of children and establish sustainable safety standards for the community.
The project also plans to expand to other schools under its care and conduct regular annual training to prevent past issues from recurring, as well as develop safety awareness materials such as fire extinguisher location stickers, evacuation route maps, assembly point signs, and evacuation navigation equipment to create ongoing and sustainable safety standards in line with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to education, sustainable cities and communities, climate change adaptation, and collaborative efforts for shared goals.
