Amid the uncertainties of the Thai border situation, Sansiri continues its significant mission powered by Good Citizen, delivering 50 bunkers to residents in high-risk areas, providing peace of mind and alleviating concerns.
These bunkers serve as shelters from the unpredictable events at the Thai border, with the first pilot project located in Ubon Ratchathani.

Uthai Uthaisangkhuk, CEO of Sansiri Public Company Limited, stated, "It has been about a month since the unrest at the Thai-Cambodian border has caused significant concern and impact on the local population. While they must continue their daily lives, the anxiety is unavoidable. We recognized the urgent need to create shelters, so we consulted with our precast team to produce temporary bunkers for the residents in high-risk areas. We spent one week producing 50 bunkers, gradually delivering them to five communities in Si Wichian, Bupuey, Dom Pradit, and Khee Lek sub-districts in Ubon Ratchathani, marking it as the first province. The design and production of these bunkers reflect our expertise in construction technology applied for the benefit of society and the country as a whole."

Sansiri has utilized its construction technology expertise to develop prefabricated bunkers that are not just shelters but "safe zones" providing security and comfort for everyone. These bunkers are constructed using the latest technology from Sansiri's precast factory, employing Green Precast, specially developed reinforced concrete panels. With properties resistant to impact, a robust structure, and systematic reinforcement, they can withstand vibrations or explosions from a distance, while also being environmentally friendly, helping to reduce internal heat, and can be produced quickly. The specially designed connection system allows for the assembly of these bunkers in just one week, and in the future, they can be adapted for residential use or other purposes as needed.

Mr. Tipthawa Dokduang, the village headman of Si Wichian, said, "We are grateful for the kindness from all Thai people. Thank you to all sectors. These bunkers will serve as a second home, giving villagers peace of mind, so they don’t have to worry when they hear the sound of artillery or aircraft. Children and the elderly will have a safe place to take shelter, instead of having to evacuate far away or hide in ditches during incidents. Now, there is a shelter close to home."

“Sansiri's precast factory (which produces precast concrete panels) has a production capacity of over 1.7 million square meters per year, supporting the construction of about 5,000 housing units. It is expected to be the largest precast factory in the real estate industry, built under the responsibility and commitment to reduce environmental impact. This is also the first time our factory has had the opportunity to produce bunkers to enhance safety for our brothers and sisters in high-risk border areas,” Mr. Uthai stated.

Previously, Sansiri collaborated with partners to deliver essential supplies to assist those affected in the Thai-Cambodian border area and was one of the first organizations to respond on-site. Sansiri invites organizations and all Thai people to join together to demonstrate the 'power of good citizenship (Good Citizen)' that everyone can participate in, regardless of their role in society. The collaboration of all sectors to assist those affected by various situations is something we can achieve together.
