B.Grimm Power Partners with GC Estate to Sign Long-Term Land Lease for Substation Construction to Support Continuous Industrial Customer Growth
B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited, or BGRIM, one of the largest pioneers in the private power generation industry in Thailand, has signed a 22-year and 7-month land lease agreement to construct a Remote Substation with GC Estate Company Limited, a business under PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC), which provides real estate and utility services. The signing was conducted by Mr. Don Tayathan, Executive Vice President of Engineering, Technology, and Project Development at B.Grimm Power, and Ms. Sunattha Sukthai, Managing Director of GC Estate, to expand the 22 kV electricity distribution system in the GC Estate area to meet the demands of new customers and the ongoing growth of the industrial area.
Mr. Don Tayathan, Executive Vice President of Engineering, Technology, and Project Development at B.Grimm Power, revealed that the company has signed a lease for a 3-rai and 20-square-wah land to construct a Remote Substation with a capacity of 40 MVA transformers, totaling 2 units, along with a 22 kV distribution system to meet the electricity demand in the GC Estate industrial area, which requires approximately 30 megawatts of electricity and can accommodate future demand of up to 60 megawatts at N-1. This will enhance the potential to attract new industrial customers and prepare for projects and contracts that are set to commence commercial operations by 2026. Currently, one of B.Grimm Power's customers, Wansheng International Co., Ltd, has already signed a power purchase agreement and is scheduled to commence commercial operation (COD) on April 31, 2026.
Industrial customers are a key segment for B.Grimm Power, with continuous growth in both the number of new customers and the volume of electricity sold to industrial clients. In 2025, B.Grimm Power aims to add new industrial customers connecting to the system totaling 40-50 megawatts. For the long term, B.Grimm Power aims to become a leading global energy producer and achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, with a target to increase production capacity to 10,000 megawatts by 2030.
