Origin Reports Sales Performance for 6 Months Exceeding 14 Billion Baht, Ready to Continue in the Second Half of the Year
Mr. Pirapong Jarunek, Chief Executive Officer of Origin Property Public Company Limited (ORI), a comprehensive real estate development company, revealed the company's performance for the first six months of 2023, stating that it achieved sales of over 14,049 million baht. This includes approximately 81% from condominium projects and about 19% from housing projects. The sales came from ready-to-move projects, accounting for around 57%, while new launches and ongoing construction projects contributed approximately 43%. In the first half of the year, three new projects were launched, with a total project value of over 4,550 million baht.

In the second quarter of 2023, the company launched three new horizontal projects, including Britania Suksawat-Prachautid, Grand Britania Krungtep Kreetha-Suvarnabhumi, and Britania Bangsaen, which have an average take-up rate of over 40%.

For the third quarter, there are seven projects starting to transfer ownership, including The Origin Place Bangna, The Origin Bangkae, The Origin Phahol57, The Hampton Suite Rayong, Grand Britania Krungtep Kreetha-Suvarnabhumi, Britania Suksawat-Prachautid, and Britania Bangsaen, with a backlog of four condominium projects valued at over 4,000 million baht.
In terms of the hotel business, there are currently nine hotels in operation, with three more set to open in 2023. Two of these will be re-openings of hotels acquired in 2022, located in key tourist destinations such as Phuket and Chiang Mai, while one will be in Bangkok. The company believes that the overall tourism sector is gradually recovering, as evidenced by the occupancy rate of its hotels averaging 73%.

Regarding the warehouse business, there are currently nine locations in strategic areas, including Rangsit, Bangna Km. 22, Bangna Km. 19, Bangna Km. 23, Laem Chabang, Panthong, and the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), covering over 410,744 square meters. As of the second quarter of 2023, over 311,850 square meters are operational, with a rental rate of 94.5%. The goal is to expand to 1 million square meters as part of the business plan.
