National Housing Authority Completes Revitalization of Din Daeng Area, D1 Building Fully Occupied, A1 Building Set for Completion by 2026, Phase 3 to Commence Soon
The National Housing Authority held an orientation to prepare residents for moving into the Din Daeng Community Revitalization Project, Phase 2, D1 Building (additional), Round 3, to accommodate former residents from Flats 1-8, 33-62, and 6007-6008, totaling 132 units. A lottery was conducted to select living quarters recently at the General P. Pibulsongkram Meeting Room, Ministry of Labor, Din Daeng District, Bangkok.

Mr. Thaveepong Vichaidit, Governor of the National Housing Authority, stated that the authority is implementing the Din Daeng Community Revitalization Project, Phase 2, D1 Building, and has conducted the first lottery for former residents from Flats 23-32, totaling 397 units. Subsequently, additional lotteries were held for residents from Flats 9-17 and 63-64, who were originally supposed to move into the A1 Building of the revitalization project, totaling 83 units. In this third round, an additional lottery was held for residents from Flats 1-8, 33-62, and 6007-6008, totaling 132 units, allowing tenants to move in between April and July 2025.

The Din Daeng Community Revitalization Project, Phase 2, D1 Building, is a 35-story residential building with approximately 33 square meter units, totaling 612 units. The living quarters are categorized into two types: 274 units for vulnerable groups, including the elderly, bedridden patients, and persons with disabilities, and 338 units for general residents. There are parking spaces for 498 cars and motorcycles. Additionally, there are communal areas, community service spaces, office areas, and green spaces on the ground floor, the 7th floor, the 24th floor, and the rooftop, providing relaxation areas for residents and serving as the community's lungs to purify the air and absorb carbon, in line with the policy of Mr. Warawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security.

Mr. Thaveepong further expressed gratitude to the residents who were originally supposed to move into the A1 Building of the Din Daeng Community Revitalization Project but cooperated in moving into the D1 Building until all units were filled. This is a significant social support as it allows the National Housing Authority to continue with the Din Daeng Community Revitalization Project, Phase 3, C1 Building. As for the progress of the Din Daeng Community Revitalization Project, Phase 2, A1 Building, construction is currently at 21.85% completion (as of March 9, 2025), with ongoing work on vertical reinforced concrete pouring on the 13th-14th floors, concrete pouring on the 16th floor, and wall installation on the 9th floor, expected to be completed by 2026.

“The next step after completing all phases of the Din Daeng Community Revitalization Project is the transition to a digital society (Digital Transformation). Being a Smart Building or Smart Community is not just about using IT systems; it is about the smartness of having housing, a good economy, society, and environment, with everyone participating. This means that everyone in a Smart Community will experience an improved quality of life in every dimension. This is a key goal of the National Housing Authority in improving and revitalizing the Din Daeng urban community to enhance the quality of life for the people and ensure that all target groups, including vulnerable groups, have their own housing and can access housing equally, leading to sustainable development at an international level,” Mr. Thaveepong concluded.
