TOSTEM Continues TOSTEM Knowledge Sharing Project, Kicking Off the Year at the Faculty of Architecture, Naresuan University, Enhancing Knowledge in Aluminum Door and Window Design
TOSTEM, a manufacturer of high-quality aluminum doors and windows from Japan, continues its TOSTEM Knowledge Sharing project. This initiative aims to promote skills and understanding of ready-made aluminum door and window frame design among university students and leading educational institutions in Thailand. Recently, the new year 2568 began with activities at the Faculty of Architecture, Arts, and Design at Naresuan University, where knowledge and technology related to aluminum doors and windows were shared with students. This also provided students with opportunities to enhance their skills through practical training programs with experts and participate in knowledge exchange workshops.

Mr. Wicha Worasayan, Leader of the Housing Technology Business Group at LHT Asia Sales and Marketing Co., Ltd., revealed that the TOSTEM Knowledge Sharing project aims to enhance knowledge and skills in ready-made aluminum door and window frame design for university students and leading educational institutions nationwide, raising the standards of work for new designers and architects. TOSTEM has been continuously organizing activities, and this year, it kicked off the project at the beginning of 2568 in Phitsanulok province, providing activities for the Faculty of Architecture, Arts, and Design at Naresuan University during the 4th TOSTEM Knowledge Sharing event, focusing on "Door and Window Material Systems and Aluminum Material Design." The content remains rich, including special lectures covering essential topics in DOOR & WINDOW 101, such as: 1. The evolution of doors and windows from the past to the present 2. Why we need doors and windows 3. Understanding the types of doors and windows 4. The position of doors and windows and choosing the appropriate frame 5. Current materials used for doors and windows 6. Basic performance of aluminum doors and windows, including design aspects, along with a Product Assembling Workshop where students can try assembling real product components with experts.

"TOSTEM is committed to expanding this project to interested educational institutions nationwide, contributing to the development of the design and architecture industry in Thailand by sharing knowledge, experience, and the latest technology for students to apply in real work. From past activities, TOSTEM has received positive feedback, with interest from faculty and students in developing research and innovation collaborations, as well as opportunities for internships and joint special projects in the future. This reflects the success of the project in creating a bridge between the education sector and the aluminum door and window industry in the future," Mr. Wicha stated.

Associate Professor Dr. Nirach Sudsang, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Arts, and Design at Naresuan University, stated, "The TOSTEM Knowledge Sharing activity this time is an important opportunity that helps connect the education sector with the industry. Students gain direct experience from experts in the field, which is something that cannot be found in the classroom, especially learning about the latest technology and innovations used in the market. This is beneficial for enhancing the development of the curriculum and provides a great experience for students participating in today's activities, as they have the opportunity to learn and enhance their skills and understanding of door and window frames from real experts like TOSTEM, a manufacturer of aluminum doors and windows. They get to learn from specialists and gain real work experience, both academically, learning about history, types of materials used, and various standards, and practically, testing with real products and materials, which will benefit the students and can be applied in their studies and real work life in the future.

Ms. Ketsakarn Anoh, a third-year student in the Bachelor of Architecture program at the Faculty of Architecture, Arts, and Design at Naresuan University, one of the students participating in the TOSTEM Knowledge Sharing activity, said that this event provided more than just textbook knowledge. She learned about door and window frames, including the history of doors and windows in different eras, types of materials used in production, the various types of doors and windows available today, and the importance of performance and standards used in production, as well as design, the significance of door and window positioning, and choosing the right frame. During the workshop, she and her friends were very impressed as they got to work with real products, which helped them understand the principles of operation and material selection better. Importantly, they gained insights into real work perspectives from industry experts, which they can apply in their studies. She expressed gratitude to the professors and TOSTEM for organizing such valuable activities and hopes for more events like this in the future, as they provide opportunities for students to experiment and learn directly from experts, making it a very rewarding experience to participate in this event.

TOSTEM Knowledge Sharing is ready to offer opportunities to students and new architects interested in learning and enhancing skills in aluminum door and window frames. Those interested in participating in the activities can contact Ms. Thararat Ngenchari, Marketing Department at TOSTEM, phone 02-901-4455 ext. 4221, 098-991-4692.
