National Housing Authority Thrilled as 'Chiang Mai Rental Housing (Nong Hoi)' Project Sees Overwhelming Demand
The National Housing Authority has launched the Chiang Mai Rental Housing project (Nong Hoi), allowing interested citizens to register online from October to November 25, 2023. Over 200 individuals registered, which is 200% of the available units, due to its prime location that offers easy access to jobs, community areas, educational institutions, markets, shopping malls, and is only 6 kilometers from the airport.

Mr. Thaveepong Vichaidit, Governor of the National Housing Authority, stated that despite the current economic growth, purchasing a home requires careful consideration as it is a long-term investment. The COVID-19 pandemic has prompted many to reassess their expenses. Thus, the 'Rental Housing Project' serves as an alternative for those wishing to have a home, as 'renting is easier than buying.' Most rental buildings, including apartments, condos, and flats, are located in community areas, making daily life and commuting more convenient.

The Chiang Mai Rental Housing project (Nong Hoi) effectively meets the needs of today's residents. Besides its proximity to community areas, it features designs suitable for all target groups, particularly on the first floor where the National Housing Authority prioritizes rental rights for the elderly and people with disabilities. Facilities have been designed to accommodate daily living, such as ramps for wheelchairs, sliding bathroom doors, grab bars for support, and shower seating. Additionally, the project includes ample parking, CCTV surveillance, and security personnel monitoring the premises 24/7.

In addition to the fully booked Chiang Mai Rental Housing project (Nong Hoi), the National Housing Authority has similar rental housing projects available in 10 other locations across various regions, including Samut Sakhon (Krathum Baen 3), Nakhon Sawan 2 Phase 2, Maha Sarakham, Lampang, Surin (Salak Da), Ubon Ratchathani, Kanchanaburi, Phang Nga (Takua Pa), Chonburi (Laem Chabang) Phase 1, and Samut Prakan (Bang Phli). Rental prices start at 1,200 baht for units approximately 28 and 30 square meters. Interested individuals can visit the project site to view the actual units.
