The Khon Kaen International Convention and Exhibition Center (KICE), managed by CP LAND Public Company Limited, has been awarded the prestigious title of "Accessible Place 2024" during the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2024 event. This recognition was presented by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities in collaboration with various disability organizations and networks. On this occasion, Mr. Paramat Poonsombat, Director of KICE, accepted the award from Mr. Chokchai Vichianchaia, Director-General of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, with Mr. Warawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security, presiding over the ceremony.


Mr. Paramat Poonsombat stated that this esteemed award not only acknowledges KICE's high standards in venue management but also reflects its commitment to creating an inclusive environment accessible to everyone. The principles of Universal Design are applied to ensure that all groups, especially persons with disabilities, can conveniently utilize the convention center's services. This commitment inspires KICE to continuously improve its services in alignment with its vision of being a friendly venue for all and providing a positive experience for all event participants.


KICE is a modern international convention and exhibition center located in Khon Kaen, the northeastern hub of Thailand, with over 7,510 square meters of usable space and an additional 4,680 square meters of outdoor area. With comprehensive facilities, KICE can accommodate a wide range of events of all sizes, including trade shows, seminars, concerts, weddings, and various other events. Additionally, KICE has received the Thailand MICE Venue Standard (TMVS), certifying its readiness in terms of event space, facilities, technology, and personnel to meet international standards.


Moreover, KICE prioritizes accessibility and ease of use for all groups, particularly individuals with physical disabilities, ensuring they can comfortably access its services. Facilities for persons with disabilities include wheelchair service points within the convention center, ramps for wheelchair access, accessible restrooms, and clearly marked signage. Additionally, KICE staff are dedicated to providing friendly and appropriate assistance to ensure that persons with disabilities receive the care they need.
